  • Good evening everyone. I like getting us started the night before the new month. A woman Winifred use to get this started before me. She was a very nice person. The last time she was on here was when qvc was not going to do this blog anymore but then they ended up keeping it. Is it just me or is summer flying by.inspire of how hot its been. Jeanloisefrench the nice weather you just said you now have we are in transition to that beautiful weather now. Next week looks to be gorgeous out. I had Stella doro breakfast treats for breakfast, steak and cheese sandwich for lunch and we just had turkey meatloaf dinner for dinner and grapes. I just went outside long enough to fertilize the garden plants because were getting a couple inches of rain .I figured its a good time for it. Have a great night everyone.

Tor i3569. My aunt years ago always had Stella doro stuff in the house.my mil buys a package my Stella doro every week allso. My aunt bought they were light and airy and they came in a bag. I don't remember what they called them but they were really good. My mom had little cups called demitessi. I guess from what you said they were espresso cups. She got them given to her when she got married. She never made of drank espresso. I'm glad I brought you a good memory.

Re: Whats cooking this august?

Yes those would be espresso cups!

Are the ones your aunt bought called Anginetti?   They weren't my favorite ( anisette toast was ) but they were frequently used to make cream puffs which were delicious.

Re: Whats cooking this august?

Omg. Yes those are the ones. I was thinking they remind me of little cream puffs. I'm like it won't make sense. I guess it would have. It was 80s and early 90s. And she shopped In almacs in Smithfield Rhode island. Almacs went out of business in the middle 90s. How you just brought memories back to me seeing that package. So thank you.

@ Tori3569, Love the anisette toast. Used to dunk them in my coffee or tea. Still buy them once in awhile.

Our time here is winding down.  I didn't even wear half the clothes I packed.  That's typical. Tomorrow morning I'll do a few loads of laundry so we can bring clean clothes home.  I'll also wash the sheets and towels, and remake the bed.  We've enjoyed ourselves a lot but are ready to get home to our cats, our bed, and our pillows.

We have no big plans today.  DH has been working remotely this week and will do that today as well, but Fridays are usually a bit lighter than the rest of the week.

We're back to tossed salads for lunch, will finish off the grass fed sirloin with today's salad.  I'll probably have a zero sugar yogurt too.

I have a package of Stella D'Oro almond toast in my pantry. I like to dunk them in tea.

We are having baked haddock and macaroni and cheese, and watermelon. Beautiful day here, sunny, mid 70's and a breeze . Wish it would stay like this but it's going to warm up tomorrow. Have a great day everyone.
