I have a chocolate cake in the oven right now. I just took out two apple pies and made rice pudding earlier.

Also, I baked rolls and bread.

Yes,I tasted the pudding. Had to make sure it was company worthy.

I made a pineapple upside down cake and by 9:00pm decided to serve it as slices today so I could have a slice last night.

@QVCkitty1 ............My mother would bake 2 pie crusts and layer it like a cake, pie crust, then strawberries, then another pie crust then strawberries. We ate it with milk on it. But I used Bisquick biscuits & strawberries with milk.

No judgement here! We have a mom and pop little restaurant close by and they have a strawberry shortcake that is known throughout the state. I normally get one for a meal once a year but it had been about 3 years since I had one. I ordered one last week for lunch one day and it was soooooooo good.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

@QVCkitty1 You are correct! SSC is my absolute favorite dessert. Slightly sweetened mascerated strawberries and lots of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream over warm biscuits. The BEST.
