I ordered several for gifts, but now I'm reading reviews and am a somewhat concerned. If you bought the large Cooks Essentials Air Fryer, how is it working for you? Are you keeping it or sending it back? Did you have trouble getting the basket in and out?
Would be grateful to hear some feedback.

There is a trick to getting the basket in/out. I just watch it as I'm scooping it down & in. You have to lower the handle part down enough for it to go in without hitting the front of the air fryer. Not having any problems after the 1st time.
I don't have that problem with the smaller Air Fryer Q sold.
I'm planning on keeping it to use with the smaller one.

Did you realize that the CE's only have a 60 day warranty, @JeanLouiseFinch ?
Their history overall hasn't been good with the air fryers so I hope yours all come through well for you.![]()

Yes, I did see that @Gokat. The way I see it, there's still the holiday return policy but I'm not opposed to returning them and replacing with a different model.

You still have plenty of time, @JeanLouiseFinch. I know these One Day Values are tempting, but there are tons of Air Fryer threads with recommendations here on the forum.
Mine's a smaller one from Evine's Cook's Companion line, and it's going strong and often.
I love the whole concept, so I'm sure the lucky recipients of yours will be just as pleased.![]()

I'm happy with mine, but when the basket is hot you do have to angle it to get it back in. I don't even think about it anymore. It is more powerful than my smaller Black & Decker so I am learning to not cook things as long. Love the bigger size for sure. Time will tell on the warranty. I got the Cinnamon color by the way.

Don't intend to increase your concerns but.....yes.....ordered two (me and friend) and I could not get the baskets out nor apart - and I tried for hours with two calls to customer service. Got it Thursday - USPS picked it up Friday. However, my friend had no problem, she cooked a chuck roast (not the most tender of cuts) and she said it smelled devine and was delicious. Sounded like she thought I was a nut job complaining about my machine. Decided to get a smaller one for me - so have ordered Emeril G (spelling) 3 qt which should come soon.
Tell your gift receiver about the problem - just a heads up - cuz they may not want to disappoint you. Good Luck!

I can't push the basket release button down enough for the basket to release. My DH tried, too. Does it work pretty easily for you? Is there any trick that you can share, or do we have a faulty one? (Haven't checked with the company yet)

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I mulled things over all day yesterday and just couldn't get past the negative reviews. I don't want to give someone a gift and then tell them they need to learn a trick to be able to use it. I've decided to return them.
