Re: Cooks Essentials Air Fryer TSV - How Is It Working For You?

In my opinion, the so called "knack" of getting the basket into the unit is no different than getting the bowl onto a food processor or chopper.  It isn't difficult at all as long as you have it aligned properly.

As far as the button release on the handle, I find that it does take some pressure, but I have arthritis in my wrist and I don't have the hand strength of a normal person.

I don't find either one of these an issue at all.

I bought the Power Air Fryer XL 3.5 from Bed Bath and Beyond.  Paid $88 using the 20% coupon.  I really like it.  Made a roast, turkey breast, fries, onion rings.  3.5 is plenty big enough for 2-4 people.

Yes, I did see that @Gokat.  The way I see it, there's still the holiday return policy but I'm not opposed to returning them and replacing with a different model.

Sherbear1 posted this on the forums about the warranty. She called Q & was told it has a 60 day Mfg. Warranty but Q gives it a Cook's Essential 1 yr warranty. Read Post #4 at link below.

That's good, @Nightowlz , but consumers probably won't weed through these threads to find it out.

QVC really should have that information readily available under their listed product information.

Thanks, @Nightowlz.  I remember this thread.  I'm still uncomfortable giving a gift where someone needs to learn how to fanagle something to get it to work.  They're going back.

@Gokat ITA it should be listed on the product page. It should also state 60 day warranty thru Mfg & 1 yr with Cooks' Essentials.

@JeanLouiseFinch Sorry you are sending them back. It only took me 1 time sticking it back in to see I had to scoop down & in. I just went & took it out & put it back in with no problems. I also have the smaller one so I'm used to using it.

I can't push the basket release button down enough for the basket to release.  My DH tried, too.  Does it work pretty easily for you?  Is there any trick that you can share, or do we have a faulty one? (Haven't checked with the company yet)

@Twoaces I just press the center button on the handle of the basket & it comes right out of the bottom.

@10sluvr the first thing I would do is look up various air fryers on the shopping channels as many of them have downloadable recipe books (they are not huge mind you but they do give you some great ideas).  My second stop is Amazon as they have several Kindle books for $2.99.  I also love to cruise through YouTube as they have so many great recipes/demos.  I have learned a ton there (and please know I have never been a YouTube person but now I can spend hours there).
