@Shanus   I love pearls!  When my mom passed away several years ago she left me all her pearls and I wear them often.  So classic.

@simplyfriends   Lol. That's how I received most of mine, too. I have the most beautiful several strands from my aunt who never had children. My grandmother left to my Mom a few bracelets, earrings and pearls of different lengths. When Mom passed about 5 yrs. ago, I inherited my grandmother's and all the pearl jewelry that was my Mom's. I already had  my own. Needless to say, I'm "loaded" with pearls.

I had enough to make many lengths, configurations, bracelets, etc. Of course, they all had to cleaned and restrung.

I have always believed what Joan Rivers said about always wearing your good jewelry, using the special china and silverware every day, etc. If you have it, enjoy it and don't keep it locked up.

@Shanus

I have always, always loved pearls!  I know they have gone in and out of fashion over the years.  But to me -- they are a classic and I never really stopped wearing them.  I got a short pearl necklace as a gift when I graduated from high school from an elderly family friend.  At first I thought -- well, this is odd.  But I grew to love and cherish them over the years. I have a collection of pearl jewelry --- some real --- some faux.  I love them all!  I have worn them for dressy occasions and I have worn them with jeans!  A lot of people underestimate pearls.  Pearls are amazing!

I feel pearls are too dressed up for me, with the exception of Genusis pearls from JTV.  I have two bracelets and one of these days I'll venture into one of their necklaces.

I used to watch 'The Great British Baking Show' and Mary Berry often wore a pearl stationed neckace that I just love.  Looked online to see if I could find anything similar, her necklace is advertised by ordering from the UK.  I'll just have to sigh every time I see her wearing it.

The last couple of days JTV has had pearls on a lot.  Very pretty ones.  There were some that were a soft pink I think, very pretty.

I'm not really a pearl girl, but I occasionally wear funky pearls.  I like baroque pearls combined with oxidized silver.

I have a strand of white pearls (gold clasp, very classic) that my husband gave me eons ago.  I think I wore them once.

@Shanus Thanks for starting this thread.  I was inspired to dig out my broken pearl bracelet and take to be re-strung!   Wish I had replaced the clasp a long time ago.  It's one of those old fish hooks that you hook and push in.  It is strong but requires that someone help me put it on.
