My wedding band is a very very thin millgrain edge gold band.I remember we paid my grandfather only for the gold he used to make it - at his cost - it was $2. My DH had his fathers band made a little smaller for him and grandpa used some of the gold he removed from DH's ring in mine.(which I think is very cool - same gold in both rings).

I am now glad I purchased gold jewelry when it was still $300 to $400 an ounce.  I have some great pieces.

Wow; glad I bought gold jewelry when I did.  Purchased nothing yesterday; shocked at the prices.  I love Imperial Gold and bought several earrings, a charm cross, and a ring when they first came on QVC.  Some pieces are still offered and I was shocked to see the price jump.  Don't need anything at today's prices.  I still enjoy watching but that is about it.
