If QVC profits are so dismal, why is all the limited jewelry they present so pricey? Like others have said here, they have lost their way big time. All those wonderful Sunday morning Silver Style shows with affordable sterling with an occasional designer piece(s) thrown in; now like everyone has said, overload JAI, which I used to kinda like, but where is the affordable sterling? WE NEED OPTIONS and maybe QVC's profits would go up. They really need to overhaul their buyers, quit this dual hosting stuff on shows and let one host EXPLAIN the items, not talk and talk with their co-host about trips to Disney, etc. No surprise profits are way down. We don't have variety and options like we used to. Yes, gold and silver is much higher than it used to be, but so is cotton, etc., and they seem to be somewhat getting around that with basic tees and basic tees and plain old pants. Well, where is plain old sterling pieces? Cmon QVC, this is not rocket science. We are begging for more jewelry shows with more than one designer! Even some new nice lines of stylish costume jewelry would sure be nice. And above all, please bring back Big Bonanza Silver Day!!! (24 hours and NEW)

The Robert Manse sapphire ring that was around $42 a couple of days ago is now "on sale" for $52 in honor of Gem Day.
THIS is the company we are now dealing with.

This is the company we've been dealing with for some time. Someone that wants to buy it now just has to call and say they saw it for less last week--they'll honor the lower price.
No different than a lot of retail anymore.

I agree, what a shame there was no Big Bonanza silver sale. I loved those shows. They were so much fun to watch. I was just thinking of the line called Echo of the Dreamer that Q used to sell. It was stones with brass and silver. The designer was a woman who seemed to be salt of the earth. I have a couple pieces from that line that I love.
Also loved and really miss the Artisan Crafted shows. I bought a lot in those days and am so glad that I bought when I did. Though I have too much now.

Agree 10sluvr - why in the world so many shoe shows and food shows. I guess the convenience of the food delivery is nice for some but do they not know what they can purchase at their local grocery store at much much lower prices for very same product? Guess the returns on food items is low but boy folks are over paying for groceries. Sign of the times - folks don't like to take time to go to grocery store and certainly don't spend time preparing nice family meals in the kitchen. Grab it from the freezer, pop in microwave, and call it a good meal???
