I am so disappointed in QVC. From the beginning, the only reason I watched was for jewelry, particularly silver.  I've had a party with friends for decades on Silver Day.  Then they changed the date, then showed fewer hours of silver, and this year - No Silver Day at all.

I perused the program guide through the 19th of March and no Silver Jewelry shows are scheduled. They have Robert Manse today. I will miss this event. The program guide is the same old products. They have lost their way.

They don't care at all about their customers. A lot of us planned for this day and saved for it. Not even a mention of it and why. Keep your overpriced clothes, food and vacuums. The Q gave us jewelry from its beginning pretty much daily. 4 hr sunday silver style and hours of a special gem. Now nothing. BBSD was a treat. They dressed in western gear to commemorate the silver strikes and it was a fun and special time for your customers. But you don't care. Every American holiday brought black hills gold, now nonexistent. You are right, they have lost their way.

QVC emphasis is in clothing.  As it is they set aside clothing on Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays.  With kind of a recap on Saturday morning.  And in between they'll throw in a big selling brand like Gravel & Graver.  Instead of all day jewelry, it's all day (& live overnight) clothing.  They're having this 360 days of clothes (thanks to that new guy with the hat) This will probably move forward to beginning of clothing season (Spring and Fall)

There is no profit with jewelry. Gold is too costly for the average.  And the lower price items offered are flimsy and tiny.  Silver is just plain boring because there is so much of it.  And they depend too much on certain vendors (JAI) They refuse to rhodium plate a lot of it.  Unlike the other networks. It costs money to do that. And profit is what QVC loves and does the best.

I differ with no profit in jewelry, the mark up makes them millions and it sells fast. Jewelry, gold silver and gemstones made QVC. They would do better to get rid of some vendors like Jai and others that bring unattractive styles at ridiculous prices and stick with the people they originally started with. Again, and don't think they read the posts, but they show undoubtedly that they don't care about their customers, at least the ones that have been there since the beginning.

I haven't been on these boards in a very long time, but I am checking in because I was expecting BBSD about this time of year. I am sorry to hear that it's not happening this year. I was expecting to see all silver jewelry at sale prices. What a disappointment. I hope everyone here is well. I recognized five name from the past - sammycat, Kachina, depglass, songbird and faeriemoon. Good to see that you're still posting here. @Sammycat1  @Kachina624  @depglass  @songbird  @faeriemoon

I agree.  I used to schedule a vacation day for Big Bonanza Silver Day.  It was so much fun - beautiful jewelry items.  I would save up during the year and spend between $400 and $500 dollars and would get TONS of pieces!! Now, unless it's JAI, Or Paz, Diamonique, or American West, we very little silver jewelry,  I'm glad I got the pieces when I did.

I also used to take a vacation day for silver day.  I wouldn't even dump my garbage, I was so afraid of missing something!

That was the day I got my Christmas shopping and all birthday gifts done for the year for all my sister, family members and friends on my list.  Q used to have such great sterling silver jewelry.

I have a few pieces of JAI and I like the line.  But Q has a way of taking something and sucking the life out of it by showing it over and over and over and over again.

Too bad.
