It's small, but I use the Clorox Toilet Wand and cleaning pads sometimes. I do have to sit on the side of the tub or a stool, but it helps when I'm having trouble.

@traveler, it's item V33223, Tub & Tile Cordless Telescoping Power Scrubber.  I ordered one recently but haven't used it yet.  It did get relatively good reviews, so it might be worth a try for you.

YES!!! That is the one I saw on air awhile back! Thanks for finding it!

I don't think it would be strong enough to get really tough water stains etc. off, but if used often enough, would certainly be the easiest way to keep things cleaned up, and maybe have someone do the really hard scrubbing every couple of weeks or so, if it still needed it.

Reviews mixed, and not so good.

Thirty-seven years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, my bestfriend's mother, suggested a toilet bowl brush.  She had asked how I was doing, and I had said, fine, except for cleaning the bathtub.

@traveler  A few months back I found a Magic Eraser Mop at Target. I use magic erasers with scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner to clean my bathtubs. It works great with almost no scrubbing. The mop is great, same magic eraser, long handle, head can be replaced, and very inexpensive.

Unfortunately I had to hire someone to do my bathrooms and floors. I'm having too much trouble right now. So I haven't yet used my mop. When I clean in between I spray, get in the tub, and use the magic eraser. Why I don't know. Like I'm saving my mop for when I get back into cleaning shape (I have lots of bathrooms). Yeah, that's not happening. Haha.

@Mominohio, you're welcome.   I guess it depends on the age and condition of the tub, but I think with diligent, regular scrubbing, most soap residues will come off with the right cleanser.  Water stains can be much tougher, especially if water quality is an issue.  In any event, I'll be using mine this weekend, so I'm hoping it will make tub cleaning easier.  We shall see!

I also have a bad back, cannot do the bending anymore, so I use a little stool to sit on when I clean my toilets.

Be careful......wear long sleeves and glasses or goggles if you are using bleach or bowl cleaner.    (I am short, and have gotten my face splashed).

I can no longer bend over and am going to PT for back.  I have scrubbing bubbles and Dawn to clean with but I need something with long handle.  Any suggestions?

@traveler The Vermont Country Store sells a long handled tub and shower cleaner.  Works beautifully.  I will see if I can find a number for it.

I use a plain old sponge floor mop - the kind with a squeege handle.  I use it only for the tub/shower, the surround, and my tile walls.  I have another one for the floor.  Works perfectly.
