It has begun for me!
Today I washed down the walls in the guest bathroom, took down the exhaust fan cover in there and cleaned it out (and the cover) good, washed the rugs and decorative towels, and in general cleaned the fixtures.
Moved on to taking down all the bedroom curtains and washing and ironing and rehanging them (after washing the windows too). Most of the beds were stripped to the core before Christmas, so just giving a quick wash to the quilts to freshen them tomorrow, as well as washing the walls and baseboards in all three bedrooms.
IT will probably take me two more days to finish that floor, then next week, I'll start on the main floor doing the same thing.
Thought we might want a thread to share what and when we are doing for spring cleaning.
Feel free to share any odd or often forgotten things/areas you are getting into. My bathroom exhaust fans were pretty gross.

I did windows, curtains, and beds right before Christmas. And gave everything a thorough dusting and vacuuming.
I just have my bathrooms to houseclean, and will probably wait a few more weeks. Then, my husband will go through and scrub baseboards and floors for me, once the muddy winter weather has moved on. I'll wash interior doors and door frames, and I'll steam clean my area rugs and runners and put them outside to dry.
I spread it out. I can't do it all at one time anymore. Then, the spring weather will be devoted to patio furniture and planting flowers. My outside really needs a good cleanup as I had surgery last May, and didn't even plant anything.

@Mominohio could you swing by here when you're done please. LOL. I need to finish up thinning out my decor room before I start serious cleaning. I am tackling it by one job a weekend, so it will take a while. Last weekend, I emptied the fridge and cleaned the glass shelves and drawers. This weekend, I want to scrub down the master bathroom.

WOW!!!
I'm exhausted just reading what you did today. I'm no longer into heavy "spring" cleaning as I keep up every week.
My spouse does all the big stuff-baseboards, blinds, etc. he's pretty agile and with my RA climbing, lifting causes it to flare up. (Good excuse for him to help out!)
Between taking down & packing up Christmas/Fall decor that was
enough! The past few weeks I've purged, organized & cleaned all my cabinets, pantry & utility (pantry) room. Closets were done before Thanksgiving. Last week we completely cleaned out garage & attic...3 day job but all excess gone & now we can move in there!
After my holiday company left guest bedroom completely cleaned, sheets/quilts washed, etc. all done & doors closed!
We only use a portion of our house kitchen/den/bedroom & main bath.
I'll be enjoying relaxing on a 2 week cruise the end of the month..celebrating my accomplishments!!! Lol

I changed my sheets back in December ... It was a two-day job ... I'll probably do it again in April ...

I don't do any spring cleaning per say anymore but I do small projects all the time that add up to a good cleaning. I no longer am able to wash walls and I miss that really clean feel & smell a room has when the walls have just been washed.

@Mominohio....do use a sponge to clean you walls? I am pretty good at keeping the house clean, but have never washed my walls...they are plaster. I have used the vacuum on them.......

I no longer even think about cleaning on this scale.
My mother cleaned like this when I was at home, and I started my marriage thinking I needed to clean like this as well; I let go of that thought pretty quick.
