My favorite Pier 1 store near me just closed today.  😥.  I really liked shopping there because I could always find unique affordable things that fit my decor.....I did manage to pick up some great final-sale items within the last 2 weeks.  Really sorry to see them go.....

@Mombo1  I'm sorry to hear that but glad you got some deals. You can still order online.

True...I just liked being able to see and touch things “ up close and personal”.  I also really liked the staff and the atmosphere in the store.  But shopping retail is slowly fading away.    Just a sign of the times....

I love Pier 1 and can wander around in there for a long time.  It's not a good sign to be closing so many stores.

I hope this isn't true, I have been shopping at Pier 1 for a long time.  The store has quality, lovely decor, furniture, unique items.  It saddens me when all the stores I shopped at or still shop at are closing.  I have stated on this forum how I enjoy being out and about in stores.  I do some on line shopping and believe there is room for both and having options..

The store I used to frequent has changed it's display perspective per upper management.  It's very disconcerting, very choppy, and disjointed.  I use to like browsing and enjoying the blend and transition but now it's too stark in display for my shopping enjoyment.  Since the "new" disposition I rarely visit the store.

What???

Oh, come on... this closing of stores is just getting to be ridiculous!!

Heaven forbid if people get in their cars and drive to even bother spend

the time to shop anywhere for anything!!

Anyhow...  my closest Pier 1 seems to be doing just fine for themselves as

well as the next closest location to me.

My daughter would  seriously go into major Pier 1 withdrawal if they would close the store nearest to her home or the one nearest to her job!!

One day down the road there will be no stores. None.

Sorry, but how freakin boring is that?

Just click. Woo Hoo.

I’m worried my Pier 1 will close due to a new Home Goods store opening next month right across the street. I love both stores.  We downsized 2 years ago, and my coffee table and foyer console came from Pier 1, along with small decor items. Most of my rugs, linens and bathroom items came from Home Goods.

Most of my furniture and decor is from Pier one!!

We have a really nice Pier One store, and I love it, however I have to say it never looks busy except at Christmastime......Lately it is so dead in there.....I hope ours doesn't close, but I wouldn't be too surprised ... It is so sad the way all of these stores are closing!

They have already closed the Pier 1 store in my town.
