Everyone can calm down now, LOL ............. I've decided not to order the chair! Just feel too uneasy about it!
As far as sending it back, I read that QVC makes arrangements for UPS to come pick-up!

We have a Lazy Boy recliner that we've had for somewhere between 10 and 15 years and they always had quality. Ours is still like new. My husband bought it - it's brown. That's the only thing I don't like about it. He has a habit of bringing home brown furniture. ha! I told him this last one is the last time. ![]()
I cannot speak to the quality of what QVC is selling, but it stands to reason that anything that is ordered by the tens of thousands for a TSV order often has quality issues.
I watched a portion of a presentation with DV, after his Sunday morning show ended, and watching closely I saw some things that were worrisome. Some aspects of the chair looked rather wonky.

i tell them IF i need you i will let you know!
i do not like being shadowed by them and i make sure they know this! never have a problem after that is said.

I have had good experiences shopping at the Laz-Y-Boy store. The salespersons were very nice and helpful and left me on my own and encouraged me to try out as many of the chairs as I liked and to sit in them as long as I wanted.
The today's special value looks much like the chair I purchased and it was just over a thousand dollars. It was the most comfortable recliner (for me) that they had at the time (several years ago). It looks brand new; I keep it covered.
I have another style that is about fifteen years old and was purchased for me as a gift. That shopping experience was also very pleasant and the chair was repaired once as the seat cushion was sagging and something broke in the seat area. The repair process went very smoothly and I was glad I decided to go ahead and pay to have them repair it.
One recliner rocks and the other doesn't. I'd like the rocker better if there was some way to adjust it so it could rock when you wanted to and not rock other times. It is very relaxing and easy to fall asleep in.
I would also encourage you to go to their store and try out this style to make sure it will suit you before ordering.

I watched then also, and I had the same thoughts. It looked kind of flimsy, and I thought it looked small. David looked as though he was sitting in a child's chair!
I realize he's tall, but my father is 6'2", my son is 6'3", and my brother is 6'5", and none of them look like that when they sit on the chairs in my living room or anywhere else.
Also - All of the callers were raving about Lazy Boy, but not necessarily about this particular chair. I only heard one or two say they had bought their recliners from QVC. The others were talking about how much they love Lazy Boy in general.
And I really had to laugh when the rep kept talking about who it would be a good gift for. "And if you don't know what colors they like, brown is always a good choice because it goes with everything!" First of all, if I don't know someone well enough to know what colors they like, I certainly am not buying them an expensive gift like this! Second, brown does not go with everything. It would look absolutely awful and stick out like a sore thumb in my house. And third, not everyone would welcome the surprise gift of a recliner. I thought lots of what she said seemed pretty desperate, and I thought David looked bored a lot of the time. He kept repeating "It's perfect" over and over, with little enthusiasm, and it seemed to me that he had just checked out of the whole thing. (Probably because the chair was too small for him and he was uncomfortable!)

I like a high back on my chairs and sofas....I dislike leaning back and my head has no place to go unless I slouch.....the TSV looks like it has a short back...I only had the Q on for a few minutes at midnight and Dan W.'s head seem to reach the top of the chair....he isn't very tall...in past shows of L.B. I have seen DV in the chair and it was way too short for him to be comfortable....no matter what he says...
I have a no-name rocker/recliner/swivel chair....its real comfy...got it at a local furniture store...everyone wants to sit in it..it just hugs you.....

Yeah, I got the same impression about the size. I'm just an average-size so it would probably be totally fine for me.
My husband is only 6'2" and I'd bet, dollars to doughnuts, that it would be too short (head part and legs part) for him. Conversely, OUR Lazy Boy chair is perfectly fine for him. The back is higher and the leg part comes out further, not to mention in a much better built way, with hardware. The way that one extended looked pretty hinky.
David is 6'6" so, clearly, it was way too small for him on both ends.

I also think that if I was buying a chair, I would want it to be the size of a regular recliner - assuming that I wouldn't be the only one sitting in it. I can't imagine having any chair in my home that would be too small for someone taller or bigger than I am.
If they wanted to pass it off as a regular-sized piece of furniture (and shame on them for that!), they never should have had David sit down.

I purchased a Lazy boy in September and the memory foam started breaking down about 2 months ago. QVC told me to contact a Lazy boy dealer. My local dealer gave us a w.w.w. # to call and it will cost us $110.00 to fix. I have had numerous Lazy boy's before and none have broken down like this one.
