Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

Drips from water dispenser, fingerprints on refrigerator. I am thinking of using a polish, is there one? What do you use to clean?

Get yourself some stainless steel appliance cleaner. It's in the aisle with all the other polishes and cleaners.

Pledge works great. I use Lemon Pledge but I am sure that any scent would work.

Any of the Weiman Stainless Steel cleaners and polish would work just fine. I have tried the spray and the wipes. I prefer the wipes because they aren't as messy as the spray. Great long lasting results.

I always love it when the househunters etc on HGTV proclaim they can't use anything but stainless. Unless you have the kind that doesn't show fingerprints etc, you have to constantly clean them to keep them looking nice. I have them (they were in the house when I purchased it) but do not like them at all. I use stainless steel cleaner wipes on mine.

Re: Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

I regularly clean with a soapy dishcloth and dry with a microfiber or ""flour sack"" towel. A couple of times a year I use Twinkle Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish. It's an aerosol and I think it does the best at rejuvenating the stainless. Let me clarify that I have ""real"" stainless. If a magnet will attach to your appliance it's not the same kind of finish and I don't know if you will have the same results. I find it very easy to care for and any extra work it takes is worth it to me for the pleasure I get looking at the gleaming finish Smiley Happy

NanaS, will a magnet stick to your appliances? I ask because Weiman streaked for me and maybe the difference is the type of stainless I have.

I made a big mistake and I ruined the finish on my stainless refrigerator. So I can tell you from experience get a specially made product like what others are suggesting.
