I used a cover on my toaster and blender back in the 70's, avocado green and harvest gold felt, to match my harvest gold appliances! Never used the burner covers, but we need to remember that those burner covers were popular back in years when everyone had either gas or electric coils to cover. Those drip pans could be pretty ugly unless they received constant cleaning. Today many of us have the smooth glass cooktops, so no need to cover. My mom and grandma used neither, but I was a young bride in a newly built 1969 house, and absolutely everything in my kitchen had to be avocado and harvest gold -- ![]()
Oh yeah, and I had the shag carpeting and macrame to match. Way too cool!

No I’ve never used those and don’t recall mom using them either; what I do love is an appliance caddy or garage, I’ve had them in other homes but don’t currently have one. I love the clean, uncluttered look on my counter tops.😀

My mom used these early on but them years later stopped. We actually do have a toaster cover but no one sees it b/c we stash the toaster & cover in a cabinet under the counter. I hate a cluttered countertop, our's has very few items on it.

I use a cover for my stand mixer because it resides in a cabinet with other items and the cover helps keep it from being banged up. We've never used a cover for any other appliance except that I once had burner covers when we were young renters. Those electric coils and drip pans were always ugly in rentals. I didn't have decorative ones, just plain white. My parents have never used covers on any appliance.

Back in the '70's I had harvest gold appliances. I used toaster and can opener covers until the 80's. Ducks were in so I had several duck items like dish towels.

No covers. I gave up on can openers when I saw one that I don't have to turn myself-just put it on and it turns itself--easy

I use burner covers but mine are stainless steel and rectangle. (one for each side of the stove). I have a semi open floor plan and I just could not stand seeing the burners on the stove. That's just me.
I do use a toast cover but it's in the kitchenette in the family room. That room collects dust in a second and the dogs and us are in there constantly. I have most of the small appliances covered in that area (only).

I am hoping to finally get a new flat-top range when the Presidents Day sales come around this year; in the meantime, I continue to use an older electric coil range, and I do have burner covers (plain black to match the range) to help protect the coils that are not in use, especially if I'm cooking something that splatters. It's much easier to take a cover to the sink and spend a few seconds cleaning it than having to expend extra time and effort to carefully scrub the coils in place or remove them and then clean them.
As for the other covers you mentioned, I wouldn't use them and don't know anyone else who does, but I have no need for them, either—the Kuhn Rikon can openers sold here at the Q converted me from electric versions forever, so they just tuck into a drawer, and my toaster is put away in a cabinet so it doesn't take up space on the counter. ![]()

My mother never used them, and I keep all my appliances in the cupboards except for my coffee maker, which is used daily, and my air fryer, which is too big to fit in a cupboard.

I would so use those covers to keep the dust off my small appliances. thought about finding a pattern and sewing them up myself----
