I would definitely have done white on the upper cabinets and went with a smaller table also. It now looks dark and crowded.

The table, chairs and 2 big lights are off IMO. Also, what's that bar stool doing off to the left?

To dark for me.

Dark floor, dark cabinets, dark table. Way too dark for me.

That is quite a change from before to after!!!!  I like the after but prefer the before.  I would get rid of the island and two chairs and put a nice dining table and chairs there instead.  There are changes needed but not to the extreme as the after picture for me.

I really like the after.  Love the cabinet color.  The glass doors work as long as everything stays neat and tidy.  I also think the table works in the space.  The floors are beautiful too.

I am guessing that was a pantry in the corner of the before.  Wonder where that went.  And what was behind that other door?  That's gone completely, too.   I think they could have updated the before rather than do what they did.

Granted, there are more cabinets in the after, but the whole room is so dark and depressing.  I don't like it.  And where did they dig up that table and chairs?  That makes it way too crowded.

I like the green kitchen, but would prefer an island to run horizontally across from the sink.

Also, in design, you want the "kitchen triangle" which is the shape the range, sink, and refrigerator are attached by lines.  You will walk yourself to death in kitchens with large kitchen triangles.

I like light kitchens, so I prefer the before. I would change the colors on the wall and the chair cushions (I assume the easy chair is not actually part of the kitchen.) and the picture on the wall. I like having an island and don't know what I would do without mine.

I'm just not crazy about anything modern. Just my taste. Years ago my close friend moved to the Williamsburg area. Her previous home was all steel, glass, and wicker. She loved anything modern. She walked into a home based on the colonial homes of the area, complete with brick walkway leading to the brick front steps. We visited them shortly after. I told her she was living in my dream home! She was standing there trying to figure out how to paint her cherry kitchen cabinets white (she never did though)!

My kitchen at the time was southwestern with whitewashed cabinets. We moved and I now have light oak.  Smiley Happy

I love the cabinetry in the after but I don't care for the table placement.  I think an island or a hightop table might suit the space better.

There isn't much about the before I like.
