Re: Coffee Table Books & Displays

Too much clutter for me. I don't have a coffee table as I don't want it in the middle of the living room floor. It's not pratical for us it's just in the way.

I have 2 large distressed white wood trays on top of my 2 upholstered ottomans..,,one has current magazines and the other has one or two books. Currently there is a Rock Legend Art book in the tray. Twas the Night Before Christmas was just put away.

Nah. It’s clutter and I doubt anyone would look at them.

I have a couple, they are travel books, one on Greece and I can't remember the other one, maybe Italy. As you probably can guess, I don't have them out, as like others have said, it's kind of clutter.

I do have coffee table books.  I have three on my coffee table and three on the table in my entrance.  I don't understand having the spine of the books facing the wall as in two of the books in the third picture.  I've seen that look before, and it makes no sense to me.

Re: Coffee Table Books & Displays

Anyone remember the episode of Seinfeld in which Kramer was hoping to create a coffee table book.  How times have changed.  I suppose as more print material goes digital, coffee table books are heading in the same direction as cds, dvds, etc.  The only book I still own which can be considered a coffee table is Bobbi Brown's Living Beauty, but it's not displayed.  I only keep it because it has some still useful makeup tips in it.

I really like the fourth picture (tall black shelving unit).

I like the clear trunk "table". We got a coffee table this summer and it's main use is to keep the cats off the floor. On any given day one or both are stretched out on it. That's why I don't have anything set out on it. Lol
