Linda--Sometimes, we need to treat ourselves. I like the looks of the TSV but I am also looking at the FitBit Charge at Amazon. I will tell you that there are some very nice looking bands for the TSV at Amazon. There was one I spotted that looked like jewelry. Easy pay is a great option as it doesn't tie up the money while you are trying it out. I am still debating it.

Hi girls! Well, it's OVER!
I finished my long final paper around 6 a.m. yesterday morning, slept for a few hours, then polished it up, submitted it, and then completed a small project that been forgotten because of the Honeybun situation. (Oh, how I miss my baby! But I'll see her soon...) Anyway, those awful classes are done with, and I never want to hear the words "quantitative and qualitative analysis" again!
I'm now free until August 29; after the next semester I'm going to take one off.
I did take a break after I submitted the paper yesterday and took my babies for a drive; I needed one thing from Dollar Tree, and of course they didn't have it, but you know how that goes! I did get the Barbie dolls I needed for the Operation Christmas Child boxes so I can start putting them together and see what, if anything else, I need (besides candy, soap and toothpaste). Walmart has the cheap school supplies out, including boxes of 26 crayons for 25¢ and pencils, markers, and other goodies for 50¢ so I'm about set. I'm really wanting to go to Chuy's to celebrate the end of the semester, but since it was getting late and I still had a little bit of work to do I settled for Taco Bell - hadn't had that in ages. I'll do Chuy's next week - since it's new it'll probably be mobbed on the weekend.
It started to sprinkle a little on my way home, but after I got in it turned into one heck of a storm. There were fallen tree branches and pine cones all over the yard this morning.
Today is going to be a lazy day - I slept really late (even for me), and don't plan on doing anything productive - just coloring, pool time, and reading.
Charlene, that Domestic Diva series gets better and better, IMO. We have a buy/sell/trade bookstore here where I sometimes find cozies at a good price, but they average $4.00-4.50, so I do better at Amazon where they're often 1¢ plus shipping. Still comes to $4, but there's no tax.
I contininue to pray for you, LlndaL; since it's you who is taking care of DH, you're the one who knows best what his needs are. It sounds like he's declining, and would be best off where he can be watched all the time. I wish I was there to help you out a bit, or at least take you out to dinner.
The new shocks/struts for my car arrived yesterday; they came from GA so took only two days. They were $107 for all four corners; my mechanic said just one would be $116, so it was a great deal, and he doesn't mind if I bring in my own parts. I don't think the front needs to be done at this time, but I can always just hang on to the parts if it doesn't. I have an appointment to take the car in on Monday; even though it's not a safety issue I don't want to drive far with it as it is. While it's being worked on I can get more military packages ready to go, then drop them off at the PO on my way to Jasper the next day.
Hi 3summ5 - nice to "see a new face."
Bird, I go through phases on my favorite store, but for many years the Lord & Taylor on Fifth Avenue was my favorite; prior to that it was B. Altman, but they closed down. Unfortunately, there are none for several hundred miles around me.
Jean, what "little extras" do you have from hotels - soaps and things? The troops could use them!
Well, I guess I'll take a coloring break while I think about what I'm going to eat today.
Hi to everyone - have a blessed day!

You used easy pay the way I always use easy pay. If I am not 100% sure about something, I risk less on the card with easy pay. If it works out, then I go in and pay it all off.
I hope you enjoy your new fitbit.

Arlene--It must be a relief to get that statistics class or whatever completed. How do you plan to use your time since you have decided to take a break from classes? I hope the parts for the car work out well for you.

Evening All, haven't been around as my PC was in for repair, the tablet just doesn't do it for me. I'm trying to catch up with all, just want you to know I'll be visiting again soon & nothing much new here

Jean, that was a Business Research class. Don't you remember the absolute hell I went through with the statistics class when I was working on my Masters in Professional Counseling? I'm good with numbers, but throw in all kinds of letters and funny symbols, and forget it!
Given the state of the world I don't plan too far ahead, but maybe I can finally finish the book I've been working on writing during my time off.
Essie, I find I don't care for my big tablet either - I just use it to watch Netflix. I do like my Kindle - I can check FB and news on it, shop at Amazon, play games and, of course read, but for "serious" browsing I prefer my laptop.
Still trying to decide what I'm going to eat today. It's not as hot as it's been the last few days; I might just read in the pool for a little while, then take the girls for a drive and pick something up. You know how sometimes you want something but don't know what? That's where I'm at... I do have two freezers full of food, but none of it appeals to me.

Essie--I despise virtual keyboards on tablets as I'm a very fast touch typist. It is far easier to respond or type with a laptop or computer than with a tablet.
Arlene--I have been known to want something different to eat and then tour the local supermarket looking for the magic item. Result? I leave empty handed. Variety in foods, supermarkets and restaurants is only an hour or more away.
