I just posted this in the Suggestion Box:
QVC.....PLEASE research your competition. If you look at my purchases, I'm a HUGE customer. Been buying for years. Alot. However I have noticed the prices being not so good and the shipping time has been getting worse. Example,, i almost purchased the LUG overnight bag for $90 plus tax and shipping, so over $100. I decided to check with Amazonn and it was $73 with FREE 2 day shipping. This was not on sale, just their regular prices. I am buying more and more on Amazon because your deals are getting more scarce. I realize the easy pay is the attraction for many, me too, however you are loosing many customers like myself that can afford to buy a lot but the prices are terrible. I bought computers, tablets, and much more this Christmas, and none of it on QVC like historcally. I used to buy everything there! So sad. PLEASE IMPROVE..
Sincerely,
A Fading customer

Q undoubtedly knows what price point it can bear. Just like at all retailers, some will say prices are too high, but others will continue to buy there. Q is obviously not trying to compete with Amazon's prices, and my guess is that it would be difficult for them to do so. Q's overhead probably is higher due to running the TV studio. Q is able to show items up close and demo items, which Amazon can't do...at least not now. More complete product info comes at a higher price.

Very good point, @nomless. But the Q needs to realize that many prospective customers are watching their close-ups and demos, and then going to sites like Amazon and buying them there for less $$.

clothing is available at discounts and sale prices everywhere, except for a few places.
QVC doesn't want to be part of discounting which is fine so we don't need to buy from them.
Except for a few brands I curtail my shopping to POS discounts or sales

Sorry OP, Q is not a discount shopping network. Nor is it Talbots, Target, etc... Prices go up everywhere! If $49 bothers you, shop elesewhere!
What I can't get over is a RIPKA Sterling Silver and glass bracelet is over $400 dollars!
But, Q sells a LOT of merchandise weather you and I are buying doesn't matter.

I'm all but done shopping at the Q for clothing (and most other things, for that matter). I have several things in my closet from the Q that just weren't right on the mark or didn't have the best fit or lasting power. The bottom line is very few things represent money well spent.
The past several months I have been shopping at Nordstrom and Macy's and have found several great pieces and some really good prices, to boot. I can order on line and get free shipping and return to the store anything that does not suit me. That is a much better value for me!

Newsflash ..... prices are up all over the place.
While shopping online can be a great convenience, QVC has NEVER claimed to have the best deals and the lowest prices.
There are plenty of online choices to choose from!

I'm confused....what are you "sorry" about for me? If you read my two posts I said it was indeed Talbots where I found high end long sleeve tee shirts for $17.00 after the 40% discount. AND, a holiday cocktail dress for 50% off! Free shipping as well. For every day clothing and some special occasion clothes Talbots is an amazing store with frequent discounts.
The Q used to be a place where one could save money on clothing...not anymore.
As far as JR jewellery...the prices are through the roof with just about every piece being glittered with DMQ. Not where I buy my JR anymore. I buy her JR two collection when it goes on sale twice a year at the high high end department stores. I would rather have two or three pieces a year of the original JR than multiple pieces at the Q for just about the same price!

I think if you live where the COL is lower as I do in Florida, then QVC's prices are very extreme, but if you live where the cost of living is higher they may not seem so. In other words - it is all relative.
