Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

I usually do after Labor Day......I keep a few lighter tops out just in case it gets really hot again...

Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

I still follow the old school of putting away my white pants, purses, etc. Just gotta do it. Woman Happy I have some cute lightweight transitional tops that I can't wait to wear. I go with the weather. Here, where I live, feels like our summer is already over its been so cool lately. Boo hiss! Woman Sad

Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

It all depends on the weather.  Here on the Great Plains we sometimes have cold temps and rain in Sept and snow in October.  Or, we have "Indian Summer" right up until Halloween.  I put away the white jeans and shorts after Labor Day (because that's what I was taught growing up) -- otherwise keep it kind of flexible until mid-October.  I looove fall clothes and am usually in a rush to wear sweaters!

Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

I keep transitional items in my closet year round. In central Maryland, it can still be warm throughout October, and there are times when we can have a mini warmup in November or December where it's 70 degrees. But generally, I don't start putting away summer items until end of October/early November.

Bwhahahahahaha!   I hear ya!    The closest I've come (so far) to wearing white after LD, is a pair of extremely light wash denim jeans.    We should start seeing a thread or three on this subject soon!  Smiley Wink

@MacDUFF  I'm kinda an "old lady" at 69 & I wear my white jeans fall/winter but with black ankle boots & blk. or grey sweater...read that in the French Chic book....blk. leather jacket.

@Shanus

I see the adverts/pics of women wearing white with black in winter and they look so chic, I agree!  I was surprised how well I liked the light wash with black, but I'm still not comfortable with white bottoms jeans in winter.  I won't say "never" in this case, though!

Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

Since it can be 80 degrees or 20 degrees on Christmas Day in SC, I never put anything away.  I don't wear pastels and rarely wear white pants.  Fall and Winter clothing is my absolute favorite and thankfully, I'm cold-natured and can actually wear my sweaters even when the weather is extremely mild.  I keep everything available and let the weather dictate what I wear.

Re: CHANGING TO FALL/WINTER CLOTHES

OUr weather has been crummy all week long.  Today has been gloomy and cool and tomorrow is supposed to be much of the same with rain Saturday.

Now the forecasters are saying by the end of next week, it may not get out of the 50's!!!!!!
