re: your comment to @ nonamtoday   that you were surprised she wasn't asked to leave the cruise for wearing a lovely robe to breakfast.   I was on an Oceania cruise last summer & saw many things I wouldn't cpnsider wearing anywhere. I wouldn't wear my pjs to breakfast but the robe she wore was quite nice & it's ridiculous to think she should be asked to leave the cruise.

@Jrzgirl In my would there is a adifference between inside wear outside wear, might be that I am from NY where we have taste and manners.

@I am still oxox I'm usually not the fashionista to ask but personally if I am going to eat in a public place, i get dressed.  I don't go out in pjs and a robe.

Isnt the whole point of this thread that people in NY wore pajamas to breakfast or did you travel to another state?

@I am still oxox    I preface this by saying I love NY.  I also know I shouldn't engage but just can't help myself.   Saying because you come from NY you have more taste & manners than anywhere else, I guess, is hilarious.

If I am on vaca, the last thing on my mind is what others think about what I choose to wear. As long as I'm not in my birthday suit, I don't see this as a big deal. Whether the motel/hotel is upscale or not, and there is a pool or beach nearby, folks walk the halls in their bathing suits, short shorts, etc. If I choose to walk down the hall to grab a bucket of ice cubes or stroll down to have some eggs, bacon & black coffee in a nice Cuddl Duds loungewear/pj set...so be it. While we are on the subject, I think it needs to be spelled correctly.  It's not a tire as in something that goes on the motor vehicles on the highway, but attire means clothing, fine and formal.

As long as the hotel does not have a problem with what people are wearing to breakfast it does not matter. It is 2024 times are different now a days, no more of those fashion rules.  Everyone is different.  Just do you and be happy.
