I purchased a pair of "AS IS" Susan Graver pants.  What arrived was a wearable throw, in a plastic bag with the label/bar code of the Susan Graver pants.

I returned the item, stating that the product was mis-labeled, and not what I ordered.  I also said I expected a FULL refund, as the problem with the order was 100% QVC's error.

Not surprising, but they deducted shipping from my refund.  Very disappointed in this, and after being a customer since 1992, who has spent tens of thousands of dollars with QVC over the years, I think I am done.  This is not the first return for their error that they have charged me shipping on either.  Over the years I have returned less than a dozen items, so I consider myself to have been one of their better customers.

No more.  I will be VERY selective about ordering anything.  Just not worth the aggravation anymore.

I get it that it is hard to find good help anymore, but this is just wrong.  They need to own their mistakes and not cheat their customers on something like this.

Re: How is this right or fair?

It was just a mistake.  Call or chat with customer service and they will gladly refund the return shipping charge.

@bayflwc  QVC's social team right here on this forum will fix the error for you.  They're very helpful and will quickly get it done.  Here is their contact email.  Send them all that you just posted here.    QVCSOCIALTEAM@QVC.COM

Re: How is this right or fair?

@Ainhisg  - my point is I should not have to spend the time to call them to fix it.  It was well documented on the return slip.  I already spent far too much of my time dealing with their mistake.

And I would bet that somebody else is going to get that same wearable throw instead of the pants they ordered.  They probably scanned the item and put it right back into stock, without correcting the label.

Any money I would have saved by purchasing As Is was depleted by having to return the item - packaging, taking to the Post Office, etc..

It is stuff like this that is costing QVC customers and lost sales.

@Ainhisg  The mistake was @bayflwc received an item she didn't order. A second mistake was when QVC didn't make her whole for their mistake. I find this unacceptable.

My advice is always to use a trusted credit card company that has your back when these issues arise. My recommendation is Discover who has come to my assistance many times over the years. An added bonus is the perks they offer--every quarter giving it's customers a % off their purchases. This quarter it is 5% off groceries at any store.

Re: How is this right or fair?

I have this happen often. I call Customer Service for the remainder of my refund...the return shipping that was their mistake. I had that happen this week with two items. The tag on the bags said one thing, but the items were a completely different size or style. I found it extremely disappointing and frustrating. I don't know who packs or repacks their items when they're returned. But I know I'm not paying the return shipping for these two. It was their mistake.

It seems to me that the people who have the thankless job of handling the returns don't read or have the ability to do anything besides return the price to a credit card less shipping. Also--Not sure why they request "exchange" info on the sticker form because it hasn't worked for me.

Just make the phone call. It's part of the QVC shopping adventure! Mostly but not always things go ok.

Absolutely NO need to contact a credit card company over it when QVC will quickly and easily correct the error.

Opening a dispute with a Credit Card company over $6 is foolish and a bigger waste of time.

One email or one phone call will get the credit.

Those who handled your return are human and mistakes are made. You could have emailed the social team or called CS and resolved this in the time it took you to post.

Re: How is this right or fair?

Don't buy "as is". Did you call customer service and calmly explain that the return was because QVC erred and sent you the wrong item?  If you don't like the QVC shopping experience, stop watching and stop ordering things.  That will resolve your problems.
