Hi cute. I got up about 2 hours earlier than usual this morning, so I got out to the drug store and the market and still had time to wash the floors before signing on here. My doc has prescribed a brush on medication to try to get rid of the fungus on my toes. It is a 50 WEEK course. Basically a year. Six days a week, and then that get's wiped off with alcohol on the 7th day. Hope it works and doesn't cause side effects like sore skin, etc.

No offer on SIL's unit, but there will be one day. He is taking piano lessons!. I know he plays some, and also the guitar. He is going to sell his upright piano as there isn't room in the place they live now, and it's not in very good condition.

Really glad you are having fall weather. It's still in the 90s here, but I think it will be down in the 80s in the days ahead.

Here's something really amazing....DD#1 and her hubby went to a reunion on Saturday night. It was at one of the beaches in the area, cool. When they got home, she noticed that her engagement ring was GONE! It is a very valuable ring, plus the sentiment, of course. They retraced their steps back to the pier, and somehow they FOUND the ring! I still don't know how, but the Lord kept it safe in my opinion. They took it to the jeweler who is going to solder the 2 rings together and put something inside to take up some space on cold days. I think it's astounding that someone didn't steal it. Am looking forward to hearing more details.

Snappy.....OMG, I am so glad that your daughter found her engagement ring. That is a one in a million chance that she would find it again. When I went to the jewelry fair with my friend, a woman had left her bag of jewelry purchases on the table. Another woman asked me if it was my bag, and I said no--I told her to turn it into the vendor because the woman would probably be tracing her steps or turn it into "security". She seemed reluctant to do so, but I watched her to make sure that she turned it in, and sure enough, the woman came back to that vendor, and was so grateful when she retrieved her purchases.

Well Snappy, have you been to the DMV lately? That really is a very depressing place. I had to get a smog check for my car and then I just decided to go to the DMV and get the registration since I was so close. Well.....that was a mistake. The line was a mile long and snaked around the building. I was exhausted; I kept thinking "I will never do this again.

WOW !! Snappy, what a Blessing for sure that your dd an sil, found the ring !! there was an ANGEL on there shoulder !!! Just AMAZING !! We had another BEAUTIFUL day here today !! I got a lot of cleaning done.. So good to chat Snappy, an yes when the time comes I hope that YOU an your dd can move to a place easier to take care of !! Snappy I bet YOU can relate to this, My Hubby took, our old garage / Door opener apart, an is keeping the Parts.. I ask him,what he was going to do with them, an he said " HE MIGHT NEED THEM " !! Hi Cute....good to see you here. I think that most men love to keep "stuff" just in case they need it at a later date. My father did the same thing--my brothers, too. I bought a book entitled "Men and Their Garages" to give to my brother. This book is so funny because it has pictures of so many garages packed full of "stuff". I am trying to weed out certain things in my house but it is hard to let go of some things.

Hi Snappy; guess what? I thought of you last night when I saw the ants making a trail around my front door frame. I did a Raid on them. I will check tonight to make sure that they don't come back!!! How is DD#1's knee? Hope that they receive an offer on the unit soon.

H Issy, so nice to see you. Glad you prompted that woman to turn in the bag of goodies. If you hadn't watched, she might not have. Or maybe she would. DD told me that the story about how they found her ring is too long for an email. She is coming out on Wednesday, and will tell me about it then. It's a miracle IMO.

When I go to the DMV, I make an appointment in advance and there is never a long wait, but otherwise, it can be a nightmare for sure.

cute, it's hot here again. In the 90s, but we are going to get cooler weather soon. Still warm. Glad it's nice where you are. It will be good to see your SIL. Sort of sad too since it will be a reminder that your DB isn't here anymore.

I hear you about keeping stuff. Hubby rarely tossed anything, and the thing is, sometimes we do need them. DD#1 found someone close to us here who might be interested in that granite table of hubby's. We need to get it out of the office so we can use it. It's 48"X36" and takes up the whole place. He will come next week while she is here. I used to hope to sell it, but now I'd just like to get rid of it. Glad your hubby saves stuff also. The only hard thing is that when they are gone, we don't even know what all that stuff is and whether or not it is valuable.

The little twins sound so cute. Must be fun to watch them grow and develop. Is it common where you live to carpet bathrooms? It's not out here. We always use tile or slate or something like that. Am glad you are getting it done. It will make your whole house seem so open and modern.

Yes Issy I guess it's a Guy thing to collect broken things !! as the garage door opener is broke, as the gears were stripped, but he saved the chain, an other parts.. yes I hear you about getting rid of things as I must do that.. I have a drawer full of make - up, that I do not wear ,as it breaks my skin out.. I don't know why i'm keeping it, but just maybe I can wear it , as yah right !! kinda Thing..

Yes Snappy , that's what worries me about all that JUNK, my Hubby keeps, as I would not have a clue what to do with it.. but if I go first he will have the same problem, with my junk.. YES, a lot of people here has carpet in every room, as the floors can be cold, in the winter time... yes, our weather is perfect here.. right now.. an hoping your weather cools down, i'm excited about getting the carpet.. I hope we made the right choices for here...

Hi cute. Yes, when I go Home, I know my kids will have a bunch of stuff to go through. Before computers, and cell phones, we had so many pictures. I have stacks of albums and scrapbooks. Remember how we used to save every little thing and put them in books? Don't know what will become of them, but it won't bother me then.

There is still so much stuff in the garage that none of us knows if it's valuable or not. Should we just toss things, or keep them and try to sell them? We don't know. I'm hoping the man who is coming here on Wednesday will be some help in that matter. His business is buying used equipment and selling it. But he won't want everything, and if he offers money, how much is fair? I don't have a clue.

Went to the car wash earlier and the ATM for some more money. Yikes, it disappears in a hurry.

I can see that in that old weather, carpet in the bathroom would be nice. There was a time when it was in style here to buy a kit from places like Sears. It would include the carpeting and a pattern that you made from your bathroom floor. Then we cut out the carpet to fit. It could be tossed in the washer. But that went out of style and I prefer tile. Sometimes when I watch the home improvement programs I see them put heating under the bathroom floors. That would be nice for people like you in cold weather.

So glad your grand kids stopped by to see you and that your GD is on the front page of your paper! Real celebrities. She and Maybelline are big shots in your town. Nice that you could share it with your other grandkids. You have a wonderful family.

Our cable company changed the numbers on all the hundreds of channels and didn't tell us in advance. The Q is now on 3 different channels. One of them is showing re-runs of earlier shows. They have all the shopping stations in a row now, which makes sense. Can't find the sports channels or HGTV which I like to watch, but we will eventually. Like a treasure hunt.

Hello Snappy, an GOOD to chat...Yes our T.V. Channels our Scrambled also... they just do what ever they want too, I do believe.. Well tomorrow , is EXCITING.. the FUN !! MUSICFEST !! yes my SIL,is coming down for it, an her nephew an his Girlfriend !! so exciting , we will be HAPPY to see her.. the weather here is perfect, an cools off at night - time.. SUNNY all day here !! Yes I wonder too about all the items that we have , but my Hubby's Tools our very out / dated.. so a person, just never knows , an i'm HAPPY for YOU that you have someone to check, out your items !! an anything is better than nothing is how I look at it... as our items our just taking up space.. Yes we like our Carpet, that would be nice to have HEAT in the Floors, an then COOL in the Summer / time !! YES our grandchildren, our very special,an doing GOOD.. A lady stopped by today an gave us a clipping out of the paper as she thought we needed extra, copies.. so very nice of her... as our Grand - daughter wanted copies...

Hi cute, hope you are having a blast at the music fest. Of course you ARE! So much fun having your SIL and the nephew and his GF there to enjoy it with you. Glad the weather is so nice. Cooling off at night is so nice. I sleep so much better than when it is hot. It's in the 70s here today, but they are predicting 100 by mid week. Yikes. DD#1 is going sometime today to pick up her rings. So interested to hear the story about how they were able to find the engagement ring she lost! Amazing.

I know that tools get out of date. Hubby paid a lot of money for the ones he used in his work, and they are of high quality, but lots of the inspection jobs now are done by computer so what he left may not even be needed. Museum pieces maybe, but you know we just don't want to get rid of everything that mattered so much to him. It's not for his sake, but for ours. He was a locksmith on the side, and had SO many key blanks and other things. Maybe the man coming next week will need some of that. People do still need locksmiths.

Last night I went sort of mad and ordered the WEN 613 oil. Right now I'm treating my hair with another oil and will wash it out this evening. Smells so good and softens the hair. I'm amazed at how many models he has. Have you ever tried his cleansers? Right now I use the sweet almond mint and 613 and the fall pumpkin. Wouldn't say my hair looks like the models, but I don't have Chaz to help me either.

Here we are almost in October. It will soon be 4 years since hubby went Home. So thankful we aren't going through the hospice experience again. Am grateful he's free now.

Hello Snappy, an Good Morning !!! Yes the FUNFEST Music Fest was wonderful. an the weather perfect, as this was all out / doors !!! We Had A BLAST.. Line - UP was Matt Poss Band they Our Local here an have traveled to COUNTRIES they cannot Pronounced, as OVER SEAS, an Performed for the TROOPS !! They our really a SUPER BAND, from here in Town !! DREW BALDRIDGE, Band from a little Town Near Here !! GREAT BAND !! PHIL Vassar , an Joe Nichols !!! Great Stars !! My it was a HUGE CROWD, an the bands started at 4 P.M. My SIL found my Hubby an I as she has lost so much weight, I did not recognize her... our Grandson an his wife were also there some - place , but we did not see them !!! as they probably were up by the stage, an all of us set farther back ,away from the band.. Yes I love the CHAZ items also.. Susan Graver was on, but i'm not ready for winter items yet... Yes i'm wondering how your DD found her ring also..... My SIL is very HIPER, her Nephew an his Girlfriend our so wonderful to her an they take her places with them, every weekend, as trying to keep her busy !! she is so thin, with Beautiful GRAY HAIR, but she always kept her hair short an permed, an now she is letting it grow long an no - perm, I did not know her at all.. But she is so JOLLY, an HAPPY.. but it's a NERVOUS kinda Happy , if you know what I mean !! she needs to set down, an have a GOOD CRY !!! just my opinion.. an relax time.. she goes a mile a minute.. an talks like someone has wound her up, kinda thing..hops from one subject to another... well I shall sign off an get ready for breakfast..
