Hi there cute, and good Sunday afternoon, or evening to you. It's overcast here today. It went up to just over 80, so I wore long pants and one of Susan's ruched sleeved tops to church. Went to the gas station across the street where gas is $1.00 per gallon less than the one near our house! Then we drove through *buks and got our Sunday treat. It's nice to just rest. The NASCAR race is on. Almost over actually.
So glad you had such a great time at the music fest! I don't recognize the names of any of those bands, but I'm sure you enjoyed them a lot. Nice that your GS and his wife were there, but as you say, it was too crowded to find them. Amazing. So happy your weather was nice.
I guess your SIL has lost weight because she isn't eating from grief? Or is she hyper because her thyroid is out of whack? Has she had a physical recently? Has she always been wound up like that? Maybe something needs attention from her doctor. You just might have hit the nail on the head about her needing a good cry. Sometimes we push away grief by frantic activity so we don't face it. Sooner or later it catches up to us. Some of the widows can't eat anything or even sleep. Others can. Hope she gets some help.
Which WEN products do you like? Yesterday I ordered his body cream. I like the one I'm using from Dr. Graf, but thought I'd see what his 613 is like.
We are trying to put together a time when the family can get together for the fall birthdays. It gets harder all the time. We could have it here, but DD doesn't seem to want to, although she hasn't said that. I just know she is so busy with plans for back to school night this coming week. It's hard for her to think about anything else right now.
Nice to see you and chat. There isn't any activity on the other threads where I post.
Hi to all our friends here.

cute, how nice that your SIL and the others came to visit you and your hubby. Sounds like just what she needed. Grief is up and down, but nothing is ever the same again after we lose a mate or someone like a child. Doesn't mean it can't be good, just not the same. Getting together and sharing memories helps a lot. So sweet that your DH played his guitar and sang to them. A piece of what has been normal for all of you. DD and I were talking yesterday about how it was 4 years ago that we had to have hospice for hubby. That was such a nightmare. I still feel upset when I think about that, but not as much as before, so I know a lot of healing has happened, and I am grateful to the Lord.
Yesterday DD#2 sent an email to the family offering our home for the birthday get together on the 26th of October. We will get pizzas, and someone will bring a salad and a dessert. I think everyone is coming. Glad she did that, and it will be good to not need to drive to someone else's place.
It's very nice here today, but HEAT is on the way, or so they say. I'll enjoy this while I can.
Hope everyone is okay. It's very quite here on the boards. Everyone is busy, I guess. At least we can talk with each other, which is always nice.

Hi there cute, glad to see you today, the last day in September! Wow. Almost pay day again...goodie. Sorry your SIL got lost but more sorry that she misplaced her checkbook! We need to have those gizmos that beep so we can find things we lose. Hope she has found it by now. Her nephew sounds like a jewel! Makes you feel better knowing someone is looking out for her.
Ah, the bunny is sleeping in your flowers. How cute. I guess they don't need to be surrounded by other bunnies.
I've never tried the hair spray from WEN. Don't use that product much. Have some Calista spray that works if I want it. I have his cleanser and oil and mouse. Need to wash my hair today. Tomorrow DD#1 is coming out. There's a man near my house who buys and sells tools. He's going to come look at the granite table and hubby's inspection tools. Praying he will at least get the table out of here.
Thursday evening is back to school night for DD#2, so she is busy getting everything set up for that. Everything is on line now so parents can find any information they want or need if they look there.
It's close to 90 today. They say 105 on Saturday. Wish we would get fall, but am glad you can enjoy the beautiful leaves. Hope the day is pleasant for you.
Hi everyone,

Hi girls.....been really busy. So, I have a lot to catch up on. Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about all of you.
Cute, I saw some of the clearance shows, but I didn't buy anything. I am really having good luck with the Skinn products. I am using them exclusively for now. My makeup stays fresh all day. It really agrees with me.
Hi Snappy; hope that you can find a buyer for the granite table. It must weigh a ton. I am sure that some person will find a need for it. I have been by my restaurant, but I haven't seen the homeless man in about a month. Wonder where he is?
Hey MsLomo; we miss you, and Bathina, too. Hello to all of the wonderful ladies of the Q. Will be back later.

cute, so happy your SIL found her checkbook! In the sock drawer...LOL! The things we do for sure. DD#1 was here all afternoon. The man came to look at the granite table and tools. He will take them for a sum of money that isn't all that much, but at least the big table will be gone and we can use the space for other purposes. DD#2 needs to come to terms with something he wants to take, as it means a lot to her. We will see how that works out. We went to Costco today for all the paper products and other things. They have lots of Christmas items in. And toys. We have no kids in our family.
It's nice that your SIL can have a necklace that matches her earrings. DD told me how they found the engagement ring she lost at the class reunion. Long story, but someone who was working the party heard it was missing and swept his flashlight all over the dance floor and saw something shining. Sure enough! So there are still honest people in this world. So grateful. The two rings have been welded together now and something is inside to make it fit more tightly.
Issy, I'm sure you are busy at work, but it's nice to see you when you can find time to stop by. Tomorrow is Thursday....spaghetti day? Glad you have found skin care you like. I've used Dr. Graf's for 15 years. Lately I've been using Tatcha cleansing oil and powder. Love it. Also Enjoy the Moment (something like that) from IT cosmetics. Smells so good and feels like a treatment. I miss MsLomo and bath also.
Take care. It's almost time for dinner out here. I got a sandwich/salad from Costco that we will have tonight, and some salmon that I can eat tomorrow because DD#2 has Back to School night so won't have dinner here.
Hard to believe it's October already, but it is getting dark earlier.

Hello Issy , an Hoping you see the HOMELESS man.. as is he an older gentleman ??? we saw the baby bunny ,an he was out / side right beside us, an " LUCKY " saw him first.. no lucky did not bark.. so funny.. the weather here is perfect.. but rain is suppose to set in tonight.. but we need it... farmers our ready for rain..
yes i'm so hoping that Snappy gets all the items sold an out of her way.. so that someone can enjoy them.. today my hubby had a job, at work, as someone made a boo - boo an oil sprayed all over the shop,an my hubby's tool's an tool box.. the man that did it was covered in oil, from head to toe... yikes.. this all made extra work, for my hubby.. the man that did it had to go home an shower, it happened right before lunch... thanks Issy for popping in here to chat..
well I shall sign off an get ready for bed..
GOOD NIGHT !!

Hi Cute; thanks for stopping by. The homeless man looks to be about 50 years old. I have not seen him lately. I drove by that spot last night and looked for him. He wasn't there. Hope that he is okay. Maybe he finally went to a shelter or got some other kind of help.
Hello Snappy. It is hot in my neck of the woods--no rain in sight. It was amazing how the engagement ring was found. There are still good people in the world, although, I am always suspicious of people. I am friendly but always aware of what can happen to a woman alone. My SIL'S open house is this weekend. It takes about 45 minutes to get there. It should be fun. I miss your friends on the 70's thread. BTW, today was spaghetti day, but we had asian food for lunch; I need a nap.
Hi MsLomo; we miss you. Hi Bathina, we miss you, too.
