My advice is don't update.  Microsoft doesn't want anything on your computer that isn't microsoft.

Itunes right now is not compatible with windows 10.

I'm assuming that they will have to fix itunes compatibitly sooner or later.

I downloaded the chrome browser again  so I got all my online bookmarks back.   And of course I had forgotten my google password and had to go thru verification again.

It says you can go back to your old operating system within in a month but I honestly don't think I'll be able to.  My biggest issue is the itunes.

But I can only say I was dumb to update.  I requested a call back yesterday from microsoft and the soonest is friday afternoon.

@lovescats  Yep, that is why I always wait when something new comes out so they can have a chance to get all the bugs out......I'm suspicous of new technology...LOL Smiley Wink

I think one  big thing about microsoft giving this free is that they want people to use their new browser and bing rather than google and chrome so people will see the ads that they get money off of.   If would be a big nuisance for me if I had to give up chrome because I just have too many bookmarks plus I really like ad blocker plus.

Google Chrome has been my favorite browser since it debuted in Sept. 2008.  Agree on AdBlocker Plus.  Smiley Happy

Not a fan of Bing, but I really like Microsoft.

I put my audio book cd in from the library and found this tip very useful because the new groove music app did nothing.  All groove music did was say I could play something from my library

Is Windows Media Player still available in Windows 10?
It is still there.
Press Windows key + R
Type: wmplayer.exe
Hit Enter
Right click and pin it to your Taskbar.

Sadly.....I didnt wait.  Some of my favorites like Microsoft Money were not compatible.  I rolled back and it screwed up everything.

I had to have my son's friend fix it by just rebooting by using F11 key.

BIG headache

they must have heard your complaint about mircrosoft money because I know what it is but never used it and today there it as one of those  green squares

Re: Windows 10 Just DON'T

[ Edited ]

I'm holding off too.....I just got a new laptop with 8.1  (my Windows 7 laptop died, and DS got me this one).  It comes with a free 10 upgrade.

I'd rather downgrade to 7......is that possible?

I just Googled this, Lotus, and it looks like it requires a Windows 7 Home Premium CD.

That's available at Amazon and elsewhere.

I know almost nothing about Win10 (I use a Mac). My husband upgraded his laptop today from Win7 to Win10 and it literally has taken all day. In fact, it is still doing verifications as I write. Granted the laptop is older, but absolutely unbelievable how long it took. I think he should have kept Win7. We'll see how it runs on that dinosaur. He upgraded his newer tablet and there was no problem. Meanwhile during the install it stalled out our wi-fi connection.

I upgraded and I love it! It took about an hour and it was all done!

Another thing I find annoying is you have to use a password whether you want to or not and then when I start the computer I have to remember to use the number lock key everyday when I type in the password

Just another little thing in those tile squares they add a weather tile ( I use weatherbug not what they use) and I'm looking at the tile to check if it's going to rain while I'm out and it's 4 hours behind and I've been on the internet for about 2 hours.

I'm just learning Windows 8. When the little notification came up that my download of Windows 10 was "ready," I ignored it. Or clicked it off, because I didn't want to deal with it then......................can you get it again?

I can't find a place to get it again.

Look around on your taskbar, you should see a Windows icon.
