Weighed in this morning. Ate nothing, ran to the store, was gone about an hour.
Came home, gained a little over a pound.
Why?
I ate my usual "program" food after that. Figured maybe I haven't been eating enough & my body is trying to protect itself because it thinks it's going to starve?
Any ideas?

It's your scale, most likely. That happens often.

My bet in one hour, water weight.

I agree with @Noel7 -- and your scale is really likely to be the culprit if it's a humid day where you live.
Most bathroom scales are good to tell us the direction of our weight over a longer term than a few hours. They're aren't nearly as accurate as most doctor's scales or those used by various weight loss companies. That's probably why WW says (used to say?) weigh yourself once a week, not every day.

I can weigh myself 10 times a day and get 10 different weights. As long as I'm in a certain range of a few pounds, I'm good. Lol

I never worry about 1 pound because it could be all kinds of things and really doesn't make any difference unless you're in a competitive sport where you have to meet a strict weight requirement.

My experience is that sometimes even the way I step on my scale can make a difference, don't worry about it, just stick to your plan and good luck 😀

Just a suggestion...don't weigh yourself hourly or multiple times a day. It doesn't provide useful info. Even weighing yourself daily isn't very enlightening and could be discouraging.
My guess is the variation is due to your scale. I used to have one that gave different results depending on where I stood on it. I could weigh myself 10 times in succession and get 10 different results . The one I have now is more consistent.

Did you weight yourself in the morning buck naked? ![]()
If you weighed yourself when you came home, were you still clothed?
Clothes & shoes add pounds. Reason why you should always weigh yourself buck naked. ![]()
