I think the names would have been helpful too. It was not done in the past because there were never 11 candidates. We all know DT and JB but many might not know Walker, Cruz or Carson....

I thought the names should be in front of them too before. I didn't like the way the moderator didn't ask about policy!

Yes, I agree the names would have been helpful.

I knew who everyone was up there at the debate. So personally, I'd rather they go back to announcing what dance each couple is dancing on DWTS like they used to. ![]()
As for the debate, the two supposed moderators other than Jake Tapper need not have been there.

Some got a lot of air time, others very little. I know all the candidates, I guess CNN figured the viewers would also.
That's JUST what they did and I disliked the moderator. I kept yelling at him. Hi Joisey girls. Lots of fond memories of your shore-thanks for the memories.

The debate was a farce. CNN and the moderators lost; DT won because they were so set on targeting him that none of the really good candidates had a chance to speak and when they got in their few words, they had to strike while the iron was hot, for a lack of a chance to speak again, they were cut off. It was the JB/DT show with a few jabs by Carly and basically, this was entertainment. We know nothing about their policies.

It was hard to watch at times. The JV debate was more interesting IMO.

I think this is a great question and wondered myself while watching ~~~

I didn't like CNN's questions, many of which seemed to be designed to instigate conflict among the participants rather than to address policy differences. I was pleased that for the most part the candidates didn't fall for the traps and addressed policy as best they could.

I think they assume you know the candidates if you've been paying attention to the news. There are way too many candidates for a debate forum, and the questions asked were awful. There were no follow-ups to blatant lies and distortions that were told.
The responses to which female should be on a bill were sad -- mommy, wife, and some non-Americans. Really?
