@Kitty Galore wrote:we have always been preppers and were already stocked up on most items . Especially TP, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer , Clorox wipes and a lot of can food and cat food. We have added some when we go to the grocery store , but are not going crazy . People really need to stop all the hoarding , I realize it's human nature to panic , but everyone needs food supplies etc. please leave some for others it's the right thing to do . We will all get through this together , it will pass as all things do 😺

I am just one person who has 2 bathrooms. I always buy Scott's TP, and I find that a roll lasts me for about 6 weeks - mind you I'm using both bathrooms pretty equally. I always have an extra roll or two, but NO, I have not stocked up. I figure the extra 2 rolls I had already will last me for a couple months, so I'm not in a panic about TP. I have 2 extra rolls of paper towels, those will last awhile, even tho I'm using them more often than I used to.
My cat likes those Lil Soup treats by Little Friskies so I had to make a shopping trip for her when she's running low on those. She has plenty of dry food and canned food, but treats - can't run out of her treats!!
So no, I'm not stocking up. I try and eat as much fresh food as possible and I don't eat meat or any packaged food except for frozen fruit, dried beans, and rice cakes. We have a new farmer's market near my home and I hear its very good, so I just shop as usual, as long as I can get fruits and vegetables I'm good. ![]()

No more than we always have. Don't want things to expire because that's a waste of space and money. TP, Paper towels, tissues, stuff like that we usually buy in bulk so we were/are good there. Dry beans and noodles we always have on hand in the pantry. Meats in the freezer because we by in bulk and break down for several meals.
Regular weekly runs have been the hard part for us. Milk, juice, bread, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, eggs, etc. have been hard, if not impossible, to find right now.

I’ve done our usual shopping except I did buy an extra 6 pack of TP and a 4 pack of PT because my son is at college and he called me and said he could not find any in his college town. It’s just the 2 of us here at our house, my SO and me so a 6 pack of double roll TP will last us a while.
We have a friend who owns a butcher shop and we did buy some steaks and hamburger from him, but it was a usual amount, not overboard. We don’t have a stand alone freezer so it’s not like we can buy an enormous amount anyway.
There is a fine line between hoarding and being prepared, but I think some have crossed that line. My local church is buying TP and giving it to seniors in our area, which is a wonderful thing to do IMO.
Stay safe my friends! ❤️

I am on Long Island and I just ordered from Whole Foods (Amazon) They have toilet paper and tissues. They put a limit but early this morning I ordered them. We had very few left.
I also was able to order Angel Soft and Charmin for two day delivery at Walmart. Keep checking and good luck @heart of savino .

I'm more concerned about perishable items like, oh lets call it FOOD!
I've been self-isolating and afraid that the next time I hit a supermarket there won't be eggs, bread, milk, meat, canned goods. I've already seen people posting about this.

I generally have a fairly strong supply of food and soap/paper goods on hand. But I won't do the hoarding. I don't need to have a zillion of anything and if I thought I did, I would figure I need to do something about my sense of entitlement.
I just wonder how long it will be with the empty grocery store shelves. Meanwhile, a store will be stocked with food items, and paper goods, and a very small number of people will buy it all out so nobody else gets any. This is messed up big time. They must be very proud of themselves. For them I have no respect whatsoever.

I've always kept a good supply of paper products, cleaning & laundry products, bath & body products, dog food, etc. I wished I had stocked up on grocery items, pantry items, meats, veggies to put in the freezer, etc. We're having problems finding what we want. I'd prefer not to go to the grocery store if I can avoid it right now. We're in our 70's, and I'm on immune suppressants.
I have placed my first order with Schwan's that should arrive Friday. That will help get us through.

Everything was gone before I got to the store, so no stocking up here.
