This is probably #1, or tied with the Fire stick for #1-

There was a lot of excitement over this one, even for the people who already had car kits.  The women were not into this, LOL.

I'm just amazed that you can remember each and every gift and then find pictures of them...LOL   Omg.  I can't even remember each and every gift that hubby and I got for Christmas, much less find them online.  Honestly, I can't.

Out of all the gifts my favorite would have been the nutcracker!  The others that I like were the Fire Stick and Rubbermaid containers (not exciting but at least useful).  All the others I could do without....who needs more junk?!

The party was a week ago, and at our age, we can still remember things from last week. Cat Indifferent

Every year there are threads about these types of parties, and what to bring, so I thought it might be nice to update for 2020 what I recently saw at a party.

I could make a list and say Fire stick, car kit, nutcracker, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. and then people would probably want to know what is a fire stick or what kind of car kit, so in 30 seconds I can find a picture and people can decide if that's the kind of gift they would like to receive or bring to a party.  Since they're all under $20, it might also help some people source "affordable" gifts that they might give this year.

@lolakimono @You are always fun and interesting. Thanks for posting the party gift ideas.I was wondering if people got crazy fighting over the presents or were they simply polite about it.I played that game once years ago and we had so much fun fighting over who kept certain popular presents.I need to play that game next year.

I think because of the "rules", people were polite.  If there had been unlimited stealing, for instance, it could have gone on for quite a bit.  I do not need the Rubbermaid containers, but I could pass them out with leftovers and not worry if they come back.

I expected people to do lots of gift cards, those multipacks of food gifts (hot sauces, cocoa, flavored coffees, salts, etc. that you see at Homegoods/Marshalls/T.J.Maxx), lottery tickets, and so on, but no one did.

The people who got the bookends and stole them back thought I had passed on an heirloom or something. I explained that I purchased both gifts at Shopgoodwill.com and tried to stay within the budget by giving a small "companion" gift.  I had to watch the shipping/handling fees, but then when I considered the time saved not buying gas and driving around, I thought it was worth it.

I always thought white elephant gifts were supposed to be something no one wanted, but I'd be able to make use of most of them. Maybe I have lowbrow tastes.

When we have played the game, they were supposed to be gifts that you received but did not want.  Or goofy, silly gifts, like the toilet paper holder. Not actually really nice gifts.
