She let people know she had a medical procedure. She doesn't owe anyone details. None of the hosts owe the viewers any personal info. It's no different than the rest of us.

Obviously saying nothing wouldn't work because this is the second or third thread started asking where Shawn is.

There is no need for her to release her personal medical information. She said she was out for a medical issue. Don't know why it needs to go beyond that.

I watch the other shopping channels, and I do not know ANYTHING about hosts' personal lives--nor do I want to. They are sellers, we are buyers--not our best friends. You pay their salaries with your easy pays, etc. I think "feeding into their egos" with Facebook posts & Tweets is nonsense.

Yes, she did, she posted on FB that she had a medical thingy which means absolutely nothing to anyone. Just another attention seeking tool.

But heck that's just my opinion and it means nothing.

The hosts on other shopping channels all have FB pages as well. It's my understanding that they are required to actively participate on FB, at least QVC hosts are.

I hear plenty of personal stories from HSN hosts.
