Just paid the highest electric bill I have paid in the 20 years I have lived here!

Central Florida has had over 42 days with a low higher than 80!

@Cumbercookie13

I'm in Southern Maryland and the AC is still humming every day.

It has been hot and humid for months.

Leaves are now falling a bit, but it feels like a steam bath outside.

Re: Where is Fall?

[ Edited ]

Here in coastal Florida we get down to low 70's at night but yesterday it was 96 around noon. About the only outdoor activity I do is go swimming.

My parsley and basil plants are both looking like they have had it after 9 months so I went to get some new ones and the lady at the nursery told me they don't sell them this time of year and I'll have to wait until after Christmas.

It's been warm and humid here.  Today is supposed to be 80 and tomorrow and Thursday in the upper 80's.  The dew point right now is already 68 which is close to tropical level.  Friday is supposed to be 84 then 64 Saturday.  LOL

We don't generally have a good fall here anymore.  We go from hot to cold and this year they are predicting a lot of rain for the fall.  I detest those cold, drizzly fall days.

Still in the low 90s here in Tulsa, humidity abounding, mosquitoes are as big as my dog.  Soooooo over summer, when football starts, I am ready for Fall.

I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend, til death, your right to say it

I'm in no rush.  Though I do like Fall weather very much.  We're near Pittsburgh, PA.  Today it is only 70.  We have the rains from Florence moving thru.

I hope this rain doesn't cause more flooding up there.

Here in Michigan we know Fall will be along soon and then Winter. Our Hummingbirds have flown south and it is very sad for us. Many of our summer birds will soon be gone.

Maybe it's much to early in the game,ah but I thought I'd ask you just the same

Now that we live where there is no discernable fall or spring I have some fall memories to look back on. I remember one year we were on vacation and camping up on Lake Erie in late Sept,I had to go down to Pittsburgh for some reason I can't remember, and it was a rainy , overcast cold fall day. When I got back to camp , after a 2hour drive each way to Pittsburgh & back in the cold & rain, in my little MG, I drove into the almost empty, dark campground and my DH had all the lights on, and "home" looked so inviting, then when I walked in , he had made a pot of coffee and some toast. Warmth, inviting, cozy and it smelled so good in there!

Fall does not start until the Sept 22 (Saturday). Besides I am still waiting for summer as we have had months of rain & dark cloudy days. I hate cold, snow & ice.

Here in Arizona we are still in triple digit temperatures.  There is no such thing as fall, we go straight to winter, if you can call it winter.  We have great weather for about four months when it starts to heat up again.  I really don't like it but I'm stuck here. Smiley Sad
