First - dinner out folloowed by being in a boat caravan to look at how some homes in a wealthy area are decorated for the holidays - all for charity.  Then to a place called Fisherman's Villiage which is a sort of outdoor mall - has a roof but no sides - and they have various venues as you walk around or sit and enjoy - dancing - stuff for the kids like balloon artisits and glitter on the hair and face painting. Basically a family centered celebration until we get tired then to their house that overlooks the gulf to watch the ball drop in NYC on TV. There will be fireworks over the ocean so we will see them as well. Everyone in our boat are old close friends so we are looking forward to having a very nice time. We always enjoy fisherman's villiage as it is family oriented so there are not nasty, crude drunks to put up with. Just nice parents, grandparents and kids, we also see teens out together there - probably because it is free - but there are music venues for them too.

@Moonchilde, someone posted about VC a long time ago and once we tasted it, that has been our celebratory go to.  It's worth every penny!!  Absolutely delicious taste, I like the demi-sec and hubs likes brut.

Have not decided on the eating part but may watch "When Harry Met Sally" for a few good laughs then off to bed.

My husband and I will be celebrating at home, probably on the couch in front of the glow from the flame in our fireplace.  That's about as 'hot' a time we have on New Year's Eve lately.
