@NYCLatinaMe  I've had hearing aides for years. I've been through many pairs as my hearing got worse and new ones were needed.

   My Dr never has mentioned that I couldn't wear them with tinnitus, ( son has it also as did my mother, heredity). Mama has tinnitus and wore hearing aides, as does my son. In fact I don't hear it as much with them on. I only wear one now in my right ear since the other can't be helped.

  Dr suggested a cochlear implant but the hospital is several hours of interstate driving away. I have no way to get there. I don't drive on interstate and my son has a business and no help, can't close.  There are multiple appointments and rechecks. AND if it doesn't work it remains stuck in my head because they don't remove it. Seems like Frankenstein! I couldn't hear much at all without the hearing aide. Reading lips helps, but with many people wearin masks, they have to write things down.

We have neighbors that sit in their driveway...at 6 am most days thru the late spring/summer/fall.   They talk to every person that passes by, it's so infuriating and wakes us up.

What you heard might have been your neighbor chatting with someone.

I'm going to go with the ones that said maybe you were not fully awake during it. Don't stress over this, just pay attention to see if you happen to notice it more often.

Speaking from someone that's having numerous neurological issues mind and body. Unless it starts becoming a pattern.. don't stress over it.

Could be a medical alert gadget, or an Al*xa type of device, or security cameras/audio/etc.  Also baby monitors.

It's happened to a few people I know, and also was mentioned on a TV program.  People talking to children, etc. via one of those gadgets.

Some folks turn off their Al*xa types of electronics, etc.  Not referring to this 'A' brand, but only to various brands across the spectrum.   

As a matter of fact, a few years ago, I heard loud breathing and walking around through a baby monitor.  No baby, nobody was home at the time.

It could've been a spirit but more likely you were between sleeping and waking. Have you ever felt someone touch your legs? Or it is a normal sleep phenomenon of paralysis. I think you were just in-between in the unconsciousness of sleeping and being awake.

This happened to me last week.  It was my landline phone saying low battery.  Scared the heck out of me at 3:00am.
