I have not experienced this but I agree that it's very gross.  Hopefully QVC is looking into this.  It's totally unacceptable.

It's the little things.

It's hard to believe the Q would sell used beauty products on purpose. It's hard to prove that the product was used. If I ever get a used beauty product I will return it and never buy another thing from the Q. beauty or otherwise.

Re: Used Beauty Products

[ Edited ]

I got a used Mally shadow stick right before her company sold. It was sent directly from Mally, but I ordered it through Qvc. It was half gone and twisted up to look full. It was no production error as you could tell it was put on numerous times on how it rubbed inside the tube, you could see it when rolled down. Might be some employee taking returns didn't separate it as used or looked close enough.

I never have had that problem... but, if I did - from anywhere... I would so return it and customer service would be getting a very nasty phone for sure! Bad, bad business practice for ANY company to do that, not too mention just plain gross!!

Is QVC that desperate for sales?

Or do their employees need re-training?

Used beauty products are a huge No-NO!

I'm sure QVC can get credits from the manufacturer.   Not sure how that works   Probably why beauty products are so expensive.    Lots of waste.

It is obvious that QVC monitors these forums because they delete those that they think are inappropriate.   If that is the case, and they read these..., I am wondering why they would not respond to something as serious as this.

Thanks for the reply, and that's definitely used. Disgusting, too, I might add. I can understand why you're upset.

The employees down in the ranks that are supposedly looking at the returns and determining what can be resold really need re-training.  We see this with handbags that are trashed inside, broken items sent out again.  I am suspecting that they are told to go as fast as possible, perhaps even a merchandise "count" to determine how fast they process....  but it all comes down to management keeping on top of things like this.

This is mainly the reason why I never go on waitlist.  Or if I want something that has just been introduced, I buy it immediately (before they are returned).... and after that, I won't consider it.
