The Christmas selling...or the forum complaining?

🙃

@sidsmom  LOL    I vote the numbers of forum complaining overtaking anything.

@Cakers3

Then a yearly snow storm happens in December (who woulda thunk?),

slows down shipping & the ‘QVC ruined my Christmas’ complaints

from 1-post members begin.

Every.

Single.

Year.

@sidsmom  LOL  Yeah, bad, bad QVC.  Baddest show in the whole retail town-madder than ol' King Kong; meaner than a junk yard dog.

I appreciate all of your comments.  For me, Christmas is about the birth of the Christ child.  I know not everyone agrees with that, and that's OK.  I feel that the commercialization of the holiday takes away from why we celebrate in the first place.

In our home, Fall decorations stay up until the day after Thanksgiving.  From then thru the beginning of January Christmas decorations are up and Christmas music is playing.

I fully understand the position of retailers trying to sell their wares;  however, I don't have to like it.  Sorry if some were offended or annoyed by my post.  There are some traditions that I believe are worth preserving.

     By the time Christmas comes around I’m worn out!! It’s anticlimactic!! I enjoyed it more before it became a 6 month a year celebration!!

@grandma r, You absolutely are entitled to your opinion. For me, the longer something is pushed, the less special it becomes. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, I just know Christmas seemed more magical when it unfolded gradually. It's a shame that so many retailer's bottom lines depend on Christmas buying, but it is what it is.

@grandma r

I am also Christian but I don't feel the need to complain about how other people celebrate or decorate.

You and I don't have to watch QVC shows or buy at stores.  And we don't have to lecture other people on what the holiday is about or how it should be commemorated.

I think this is the fourth anti-QVC Christmas presentation post we've seen recently.

I'd rather see a Q Christmas item than another rant about them.

@Noel7  I don't see the point in the carping and anyway, don't people understand that some people are so busy they need to get it bought and done now or there is no chance to do it in November and December?

It's not 1955 any more. . . It's a fast paced frantic world where most women work and have very little time to fool around doing their holiday shopping and planning.

QVC has a right to air what they want.

If we don't like it.....simply do not watch.

Well, now I've been told.  My comments were just that.....my opinion!!  I certainly didn't intend to carp or lecture or whatever else you choose to throw my way.  We don't need to agree with everything or everyone, but, I see no reason to be .............

Never mind, I will keep my opinions to myself!!!!!
