@suzyQ3 "Netiquette" be darned. Only in the fevered swamps of disturbed minds would someone seeing all caps in the body of a text (or elsewhere)...hear shouting. Serious couch time would be in order.

There are many reasons why a poster might use caps. When I see it, I'm happy to say that it doesn't trouble me in the least. I, myself, use it for emphasis, as this site is NOT responsive when it comes to mobile devices, and rich text is available for desktop only. Tough buns, if that causes some to cover their ears; that's their problem, not mine.

Stop being so "judgy."

@Moonlady   I guess I must have a disturbed mind. BTW your post is pretty judgemental. Since computers and the internet, caps have meant shouting. It doesn’t bother me in the least, but that is what it means. I believe you are the judgy one. No one has been murdered, it’s just a thread about caps! Goodness.

@proudlyfromNJ   I find all her posts to be as you've described them.

@Bri369 Hmm...maybe it was with their I-pads(etc.?)...anyway I have seen some who say they can not make paragraphs for some reason. Hope someone comes along who knows.

Re: Thread TItles in CAPS

[ Edited ]

When I am communicating with customer service of a utility company or an online store by email or text message, I have on occasion used caps when I was really mad although not in my entire text but maybe in one single sentence.  So while I can sit here and say that caps do not mean shouting, that would not be true.  When you are speaking to someone who is acting boneheaded, caps seem appropriate.
