Well a huge mea culpa from me! I started a thread about a song and to my utter SHAME, I used caps! Flog me with a wet noddle until I learn my lesson!!!!

There is one poster whose name I know who does type all in caps due to very poor vision.

Lucky me, I've got bigger things to think about!!!

@magicmoodz. I think what you wrote was perfectly relevant.

Sometimes I will put the title in caps so its easier to see the title.  Is it suppose to mean something?

@QueenDanceALot  ... The caps don't bother me, but rigamarole got me.  I say this all the time and never knew how to spell it.  LOL

I do not think it is important enough to start a thread about it.

@goldensrbest

I think most of us here can say that about a lot of threads, but I personally wouldn't.

If no one else, the thread is important to the one who posted it and I just wouldn't disregard someone else's opinion or feelings.

But that's just me.

@KingstonsMom   If the thread had been about just a question, that would have been one thing.

Yet the OP had to take it a step beyond by saying it is rude.

One can disagree about titles in CAPS; it is quite another to say that posters who do so are looking for attention and are being rude to everyone else.

Exactly, that's when the thread went downhill.

Gosh, sorry but I'm older than the internet!  Of course the manual typewriters were around, just not in my school yet until I was almost out of high school.  I did pickup the cap thing when I started getting on the computers.  So count me in on the side that it doesn't bother me caps or not.

Not a putdown...really...but I do not stress the all caps...nor anyone who spells a word wrong.

I cannot imagine having so little to think about that something like this would annoy you.

Is there a reason why some posters do this?

It looks like they are yelling "LOOK AT MY POST, LOOK AT MY POST".

Seems a little rude to me, having to make a thread title larger than other posters' thread titles.

I came back and saw this thread was still here.  I'd say you got your answers.  There seems to be lots of reasons why posters do this.  I can't think of anyone here (that I know) who feels they have to make their thread title larger than other posters thread titles....... thinking.... "Look At My Post, Look At My Post".  I give the ladies here more credit than that.

I'm too shy to post in all caps.
