Also with the DOW going down 1,000 points within the first hour of the market being open had the smell of automated computer selling to it.

China has been slowing down...it is a surprise that they devalued their  currency?  Not really.  Every other country in the world has been playing this game.  First the US, then Japan, then Europe, and now China.  It's a race to the bottom.  One important note  regarding the US:  We are raising our rates such that our currency is now going to be in demand globally, and we don't get to play the currency devaluation game anymor, for the time being.  The currency devaluations are only part of the story though.

There have been warnings along the way that troubles was brewing.  Oil and commodity prices have been collapsing.  This has historically signaled a global slowdown, especially with the industrial commodity like copper collapsing in price.
