@Venezia    Are you aware if you click on your avatar you will get a drop down menu that says log out and it will log you out??  That is how most forums are.

@BalletBabe - I am aware of the drop-down menu.  It does not work for me.  It hasn't worked for probably two months or more, ever since they did something to the Q's website (not just the forums) and caused numerous glitches.  None of which are being fixed.

I've said in another post that I can sign out on my iPad, but I cannot sign out on my desktop, using MS Edge.  I don't use other browsers, so I can't comment on those.

And for a while, because I was permanently signed in to the forums, I could also just click on my wishlist, and then my order status and get straight into my account without further signing in.  Now that is a security issue.  (Although they seem to have fixed that issue at least.)

@Venezia   I would not like that either.  I am on Google.  I do not like Edge, but that could be the reason.  It seems different things like Ipad, Phone, Laptop are all different.   If you shut your computer off does it sign you out?  If not that would bug me.

@BalletBabe - Nope, I shut my computer off every night.  Switch on the next day and there I am - still signed in!

If this was happening to a customer for the company I used to work for (I.T.), it would've been fixed long ago.  And I don't see why I should have to switch browsers for the Q's I.T. team to get it right.

Looked at another way, the mods who are fellow posters  care about the forum, care about posters because they are also posters, know how it feels to have threads dissappear without explanation. Hired mods have no reason to care, can discriminate against posters they dislike and topics they personally oppose. If we question them, we will be banned.

Based on past experience with another board created a few years back because of the change in moderation and anger over poofing, I strongly disagree with your premise.  The "fellow poster moderators" quickly became heavy handed and taunting to those they disagreed with.  Don't know if that would happen at the new board, really depends on the people and personalities.  Only time will tell.

@NanaFrost

You're right about that board. I visited it, was not favored there, but managed to escape with my life.  It was an experience. To be clear, the alternate board referenced was established years ago when the Q made changes removing Viewpoints. It has nothing to do with Proboard.

Re: The Damage Has Been Done

I can sign in and out, but sometimes I get black boxes covering parts of posts, like they were redacted. Only happens on Q forums and on my tablet.
