At least when I log out of the ProBoard forum, I'm actually logged out.

No matter how many times I sign out of here, the next time I open this up, I'm still logged in.  To me that's a security issue.

I did try to bring it to the attention of the moderators (to pass on to whomever is supposed to maintain these forums), but it had no effect.

@Venezia

I thought that was just happening to me.

@icezeus - If I'm on my iPad and log out, it logs me out and I have to sign in again next time.

However, if I'm on my desktop, as I am now, using MS Edge, it never signs me out.  It says it does, but lo and behold...next time around, I'm still logged in.

I can't believe there's no one in QVC's I.T. department who can fix this.  It seems they simply don't care.  And why should they?  The clearly planned to shut the forums down, so why waste time and money?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some complained about having to sign in too often. Then there was a glitch and they complained about not been able to sign out. That was funny because it was the same people complaining.

For me it didn't matter whether I had to sign out or not.

@Sage04 - I was not among those people who complained either way.

However, having a career in I.T. makes me concerned, when there is a possible security issue.  What happens, if someone thinks s(he) has logged out and leaves the computer unlocked?  Especially, if it's a public computer (library, for instance).  Next person comes along and...?

I'm not going to turn this into a big debate, but it is an issue QVC should've addressed months ago.

Nobody is pushing anything!  It has been said numerous  times...post here, post there, post both places. U do u.

I don't understand this mentality.

Neither do I.  And customers expressing well-deserved reservations about what's happening are not "whining".  Amazing how loyalty to a company can make some people very defensive.

Strange...when I sign out...I am signed out. In fact when I sign in...I have to sign in 2x?

@Venezia    Are you aware if you click on your avatar you will get a drop down menu that says log out and it will log you out??  That is how most forums are.

@BalletBabe - I am aware of the drop-down menu.  It does not work for me.  It hasn't worked for probably two months or more, ever since they did something to the Q's website (not just the forums) and caused numerous glitches.  None of which are being fixed.

I've said in another post that I can sign out on my iPad, but I cannot sign out on my desktop, using MS Edge.  I don't use other browsers, so I can't comment on those.

And for a while, because I was permanently signed in to the forums, I could also just click on my wishlist, and then my order status and get straight into my account without further signing in.  Now that is a security issue.  (Although they seem to have fixed that issue at least.)
