We will do exactly as we please while enjoying our life.

We will drag if we please, and complain if that pleases us too.

Looked at another way, the mods who are fellow posters  care about the forum, care about posters because they are also posters, know how it feels to have threads dissappear without explanation. Hired mods have no reason to care, can discriminate against posters they dislike and topics they personally oppose. If we question them, we will be banned.

Honestly, I've never felt that a mod had it out for me.

And do you know what?  I got poofed today.  And I was taking the side of QVC.  Yes!

I don't know if it was taken wrong because honestly sometimes my written word isn't exactly what I'm trying to say.

But either way, someone didn't like it (a poster?  probably) and so it went poof.

It wasn't harsh.  Trust me.

I'm not trying to imply anything negative about any of the moderators of the Proboards.  It's just they were fellow posters.  And they have their history here of posting their own views.

QVC moderators are monitorred by management, I'm sure.  Just like other people are monitored at their jobs.  Whether it's over the phone or online.  You have to follow the guidelines of your employer---if you want to keep your job.  Failure to do will come up in your reviews.  It's all part of quality control or whatever they call it now....

I feel no ill will towards QVC.  They don't owe me anything.  @occasionalrain

I am not damaged by any of this.  It's working out quite well staying here.

I wasn't interested in going to a forum that is moderated by fellow posters.

I'm sure that most forums are moderated as mentioned above--and it's probably quite unique that QVC has their customer service reps doing the monitoring here.  But I was always comfortable with that.  It's what they were paid to do.

No damage done.  I decided if they closed these forums I wouldn't go to one of the new one talked about here.

@Lucky Charm

I feel the most important aspect of a healthy board is good moderators performing good moderation. I'm not sure how a board will function when moderators are also active participants.

When I saw the call asking for moderators, I initially thought about throwing my hat in the ring. With my sleep issues, I could take the late night shift 😄. I am confident I could do a good job because to me adhering to guidelines,  honesty and fairness are paramount to a board's success.

And then I came to my senses.😄😄😄

Aww, I always thought you were a really cool poster.

It would be a good job for someone who is aloof to all the bull that goes on here.

It would be like me monitoring a sports related forum.  Don't care who's winning or losing. I've got no dog in the race.....

Another person who emailed the CEO received communication that the boards would remain open until sometime in 2022.

If that's true, it's even more indication that this reversal isn't a permanent decision.

"Sometime in 2022"?  Like...just after the extended return period ends on January 31, 2022?  Just thinking out loud!  Woman Frustrated

@Venezia  As I said on another post, they will keep the forum open until after Christmas and a short time into 2022.  After a lot of posters threatened to close their accounts, Q got scared that they would lose all that Christmas $$$.  It's just a bandaid to keep us on the string.  I hope I'm wrong.

I don't want to sound cynical, but it is hard for me to trust the Q after their statement to keep the forum open "as we go forward" or something to that affect.  It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop.........

@Ladybug724  - Isn't the majority of the whining and "don't trust" and they didn't change their mind because of their customers posts coming from the people who are also pushing the pro-board?

Nobody is pushing anything!  It has been said numerous  times...post here, post there, post both places. U do u.

I don't understand this mentality.

Many will comeback and take a peak.... join if they want or just stay gone.

When this board is removed.... I'm done.

Whether or not you can cancel an order depends on what status the order is in.  If it's "in process" or "shipped" (even if it's just label printed) you can't cancel it.  Advanced Orders, Autoship Orders and orders in any other status can be cancelled.

Based on past experience with another board created a few years back because of the change in moderation and anger over poofing, I strongly disagree with your premise.  The "fellow poster moderators" quickly became heavy handed and taunting to those they disagreed with.  Don't know if that would happen at the new board, really depends on the people and personalities.  Only time will tell.
