Anybody else notice some of the Duggar fans are always the mean ones on these threads? Doesn't say much for the ""Christian"" lifestyle they claim to be so proud of. And they don't think anybody else's opinion is allowed either.

None of the nasty things people say about the Duggars have any merit. They don't even know enough about them to criticize them.

Hopefully, the Bates program will take off and the Duggars will get a break from the board harpies......

I know, Yorkie, but there is no changing others minds,......I just ask questions to try and see where others are coming from......like, did I miss something,....was there a show about the children's resposibilies, ( other than having jurisdictions, which think that is not a bad idea).....etc

I watched the show from the first pilot, not as much lately because I feel sorry for the kids. It seems like they don't have a choice. I've heard Michelle explain from the very first pilot episode that each new baby gets a "buddy" who takes care of them and the "buddy" is an older child. So they're assigned these duties early. Michelle and JB seem like they don't know the children that well, sort of distant.

You always spread this same story when the subject of the Duggars arises. It's not true and I think you need to recognize that fact by now. If it's something you heard then whoever told you that is mistaken or lying. You can't have got it from watching their show or you would know it's a falsehood. An older sibling (can be sister or brother) is in charge of making sure the kids get up and dressed on time, get on the bus or into the car when they're going out, and hold their hand when they're walking about somewhere. I had to do the same for my younger sibs when I was about 14 or so. It's not the same as "raising" them. It's just keeping an eye on them. Anyone with multiple siblings has done it. In the Duggar family they call it being "buddies".

Some of these people are downright obsessed about the Duggars. Kind of creepy, if you ask me.

I think it's rather mean to accuse someone of being a child-abuser.

I don't think it's a lot to ask to at least have knowledge of what and who you are criticizing. Most of the people who bash them don't even watch the show.

They are coming from ignorance, because - like I said - most of them don't even watch the show. They don't know what they are even talking about. Most criticisms start out with, "I've really never seen the show........", or "I've only seen a few episodes.............", and so forth.

I've read numerous threads about the Duggars here, and most critics aren't familiar with the show, don't know anything about them, etc.

Let's all hope this Bates program takes off or I'll have to toss a hunk of raw meat in here soon.

The Bates parents are much more likable than Jim bob and Michelle Duggar. I think the Duggar parents are creepy. They act so formal even around their own children.
