maybe we can discuss the show another time when differing opinions aren't being insulted.
Have a nice night everybody!
So far on this thread, you've called more than one person "creepy," and another "dishonest." I guess you feel like you should be able to come on here and insult people and no one should object.

Read carefully please. I said editing other people's posts in a quote is creepy and dishonest. It is. And I agree JB comes across with a creep factor. But WADR you need to learn to make your points without being nasty. Or making fun of people. And let other people have their say. Even if it's different from yours. Without insulting them. Don't be a bully expecting all of us to think the same way ok? Relax, chill out.

I think if you are "assigned" a buddy (sibling) to assist, you really don't have a choice.
A few things they do bother me, but who am I to judge?

Children shouldn't be in charge of raising siblingsYou always spread this same story when the subject of the Duggars arises. It's not true and I think you need to recognize that fact by now. If it's something you heard then whoever told you that is mistaken or lying. You can't have got it from watching their show or you would know it's a falsehood. An older sibling (can be sister or brother) is in charge of making sure the kids get up and dressed on time, get on the bus or into the car when they're going out, and hold their hand when they're walking about somewhere. I had to do the same for my younger sibs when I was about 14 or so. It's not the same as "raising" them. It's just keeping an eye on them. Anyone with multiple siblings has done it. In the Duggar family they call it being "buddies".
I think it is a real sweet thing to have a older sibling watch out for you,...a child cannot have too much love.

I am just curious as how people know that the older kids are made against their will to raise the younger ones? Maybe that was in one of the shows?None of the nasty things people say about the Duggars have any merit. They don't even know enough about them to criticize them.
Hopefully, the Bates program will take off and the Duggars will get a break from the board harpies......
They are coming from ignorance, because - like I said - most of them don't even watch the show. They don't know what they are even talking about. Most criticisms start out with, "I've really never seen the show........", or "I've only seen a few episodes.............", and so forth.
That is often true, some people watch for just a few minutes and decide they do not care for the family, that is up to them, but I have never hated the duggers or felt sorry for the kids, I acutally think they will do quite well in life with all the life skills they learn especially how to deal with money,...most kids do not get that and grow into adulthood having no idea how to manage money...that is sad.
