@shoesnbags my range looks just like any other.  It is fueled by propane as is my gas fireplace.  I also have a whole home Generac generator.  It is also fueled by propane.  These items along with my bbq are supplied by propane contained in tanks on my property.

 

Some areas of our Municipality within city limits have natural gas but that is a relatively new thing. 

Most people just have electric stoves/ranges, not propane.  I bought propane because I wanted to be able to cook during power outages.  I live about 20 minutes from the city and have my own well and septic system.  HTH.  LM

Thanks @Lilysmom1 !  I learn so many things on this board. Smiley Wink We too have a Generac whole house generator, but it's powered by natural gas lines just like the range. Again, I appreciate the explanation.
