i will be curious to see how many hosts decide to relocate. Several have boats they are always talking about and then i think bobby ray, is retirement age. Many of the vendors are also located in Florida.  I think vendors that are on both channels,(tweked, beekman, etc.) will like less travel and can be on both channel with one visit.

I don't see it as a grueling job.  They still probably only work an 8 hours a  day.  They get a lot of steps. I'm going from set to set.  There is no hard labor involved.  Certainly not a need for any brain power - just sellimg and attending meetings or going over the products to be sold in their shows.   Plus they get a lot of perks from the vendors and a good discount.

It's people behind the scenes who do all the grueling grunt work.

I think the “hard work” is selling the same products over and over while trying to make it exciting and interesting.

People move on. It's life.

Q is going all streaming soon so it's likely fewer hosts will be needed. Maybe the ones who left see the writing on the wall.

I wish everyone well but don't care when hosts move on or retire. They are salespeople to me, not friends or acquaintances.

i don't really care either, but i like some selling styles better than others and that's what i would miss. If the host doesn't hold my interest, i will probably change the channel and look on line

I think the worst part of the job is the hours. 😝

They’re ALL OVER the place, which makes it hard to make plans for yourself.

The hosts have to be ready and committed to when The Q needs them each week. 🥴

I’ll take 9-5 with weekends and holidays off any day! 😉

I think you have to be very flexible especially in your early years as a host. Once you have your time in you probably get better hours.

There are tons of perks as well. I still think it is hard work talking about items for long periods of time and making it sound exciting and interesting, I think that looks easier than it really is. You also must sound believable as well.

They probably don't need as many since they aren't 24/7 anymore.  And I doubt HSN hosts, at least the old timers will relocate.  I THINK Bobbi Ray is in her 70's and Colleen is probably close to if not at retirement age.  We'll see how it plays out.

I was just thinking about the turnover of QVC hosts:

  • Jennifer Coffey quit
  • Kerstin Lindquist quit
  • Courtney Khondabi on leave until April
  • and Mary Beth Roe retiring next month

That's a lot of show slots to fill in.

Sounds like the remaining hosts will be working extra shows for a while.

There's a change of tide happening at the Q and I'm sure many viewers will miss the familiar faces and comforting consistency of the long-term hosts on their tv screens.

@Luv2Watch

I think being a host is a grueling job.  There are sales and fashion meetings, in addition to on air shows and all the prep work that precedes them.

Unless you finally make it to a seniority position and you get your preferred hours, your schedule is not your own, and personal lives can suffer.

I'm guessing the first ten years are the hardest. Woman Frustrated

theres still no comparison to the average working woman juggling a full time job, kids and daycare. A 40+ hr work week with low pay.

A hosts job is PLUSH in comparison.

yes, but there will now be a lot of hosts in the area and they are all under the same parent company. it would be easy to share.
