Well it's Spring like here in St. Louis today, Temps in the upper 70's, beautiful day and I took a walk enjoying the nice breeze. It's a possibility of severe storms Friday (hope not) but a nice week overall.

We have 70° today slight breeze, blue skies. All ******'s suppose to break loose Thursday and Friday, however, when big winds return, up to 80 mph in parts of the state, probably about 60 mph in my area.

Relative humidity today is 5%.

And just like that....it turns!!!

Winter seemed to last forever....and SO BRUTAL COLD here in NW PA....my poor ferals came each day and I had to put thier wet food out on a small stack of old newspaper to keep it off the concrete patio so they could eat it before it froze solid in ten minutes on those low teens days.

I was given an electric water dish for them for Christmas and it was a hit. It kept the water unfrozen even on zero degree nights....sometimes the cats drink more water than they eat dry food in winter...probably cause there's no where to get it and their oblivious owners don't seem to notice.

Then....THIS week....I put the plate of wet food out for them...in the shade of a post on the south facing porch...to keep it moist before the spring sun and wind could dry it out!!

There are red buds on the maple tree beside my garage.....Down in the valley behind my house is a lake...I bet the buds will color the trees reddish by the weekend..

How FAST It happens!!!

Of course we could get more "cold" weather here....but it won't last at this point.

Thank goodness....January and February 2025 was the longest year ever for winter where I live!!!!

Happy Spring. It's so nice outside. In the 70's most of the week. It's 82° right now.

Fri will be another knock your head off day with SSW winds over 30 mph with gusts over 60 mph? It will be dusty & windy. We will be staying home.

DH can't get our East fence installed with this wind. LOL!!!

Had to buy our fence boards & steel posts before the prices goes up?

Sounds like the entire country has high pressure and sunshine. But bummer that I'm not seeing anything about a repeat of those crazy winds we had last week. I'd love to experience that again. I've lived in this state since I was 9 and never recall those kinds of winds.
