I don’t understand why QVC will charge me $3.50 for 3 shirts, each a different color. They were $28 each. They didn’t fit right so now I mail them back and each one costs $8. So basically I’m out $50 on an $84 order. And they can still sell them!!! Think I’m done.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

you wont get your original shipping fees back, but if you use the qvc prepaid return label to return all three in one bag or box, you will only be charged $6.95 OR you can return them on your own if you find that they will be cheaper.

Perhaps it's best to make sure you love an item before ordering it in quantity.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

@Sappy I am with you on this.  Even if you mailed all 3 back in one package, you would have paid $17.45 to try on shirts.  This will make you even crazier: imagine yourself handing the sales clerk $17.45 when you go into the fitting room.  That image cured me. I very rarely order from QVC, and when I do it's always something I know I'll keep.  Never clothes except for some Barefoot Dreams sweaters.

If they want people to try their clothes, they should take this into account.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

Simple math says this doesn't add up.  Three shirts with $3.50 each = $10.50.

Last time I returned something the shipping label fee was $6.95 but, okay, let's go with $8 each.  That's $24.

$10.50 + $24.00 = $34.50.

So where does the "I'm out $50" come from?  And I agree with the comments above.  Don't order multiples unless you know the size you need and that you love the item.  Also:  return all three in one bag.  Not that difficult.  (I returned two items in same package; one return fee.)

OR since it's only the size that's an issue, return them for an exchange.  problem solved.

However, perhaps the OP is right in deciding to shop elsewhere.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

One last suggestion:  PayPal.  You can claim back the return postage from them.  But it's limited to 12 returns in a year, so if you're a serial returner, even that might not be a solution.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

What REALLY aggravates me is even if you send 3 very light T-Shirts back in one bag with the pre-paid label, they take them all out of the bag and charge $6.95 PER T-shirt. The bag didn't even weigh a pound. That is $21.00(ish), completely unacceptable.

So, first problem is no other store (brick and mortar or online) charges $36.00-$39.00 for T-Shirts. I am stupid enough to like it enough to pay that ridiculous price, so I can't put that part on QVC. It is me that keeps falling for their sales tactics.

As usual, how they present it on air is never what you get. Sizing is off, colors are not described or shown as they really are, so many problems crop up.

They misrepresent, and they have the nerve to take 3 teeny tiny XS T-shirts out of a bag and charge me the individual return charge?

I have cut way back on QVC. There are so many other places to shop online who have more reasonable pricing and better shipping, better return policies. Nicer clothes too.

QVC is not the king of the internet shopping as they used to be when TV shopping began. We may not get the advantage of watching a presentation of an item by shopping elsewhere, but savvy shoppers can figure out sizing and color online while shopping at other stores. The ONLY things I buy now are products or clothes I have purchased before and KNOW I will keep, and even then I don't trust their color descriptions anymore.

Re: Shipping and return outrage

This isn't true for me.  I have returned items in same package and have been charged for each individual item.  I don't order nearly as much as I use to.  QVC is so out of hand with there shipping and handling and returns.  Amazon is the way to go as far as s&h and returns.... FREE and credied back within hours.  Just sayin

No thought is worth thinking.....

@Sappy    Contact our mods by email at QVCSocialTeam@QVC.com.  Include your order numbers and ask if you should have been charged $6.95 shipping for each item returned.

What she said!  I did not get charged multiple fees, when I returned two items in the same package.
