I remember them, especially the white candy ones. When I was 5 or 6, I’d stroll over to my dad with my cigarette between my fingers and ask him to give me a light. By the time I was old enough to smoke real cigarettes, they knew about the side effects of smoking and I never got started.

Worked for a VERY large intern. company. In order to get us to do taste tests we could pick from a large bowl the candy of our choice. One day the guy I shared an office w/ came back w/candy cigs. What a great time we had w/ those!

Ah, but does anyone remember candy lipstick? Red, in the gold foil wrap?

@blackhole99 I actually pulled fillings out eating Tootsie Rolls. Needless to say my ma wasn't too happy with the dentist bill, and my visits to the candy store ended................
I'm pretty sure I can attribute my first cavity to Good & Plenty.

@patbzwrote:DH and I were remembering fun treats from 50s and 60s; anybody remember candy cigarettes? Talk about brain washing!
They are called candy sticks now. I’ve seen them on my travels across the US.

I ever liked them. Prefer chocolate. And now I have a MIL who can’t breathe and is on oxygen yet still sneaks out to get a smoke. I like them even less.

PURE CANDY

Very similar! For some reason I remember something shorter that looked more like real lipstick. But we're talking over 50 years ago, so...
ETA:
And I don't remember a cherry flavor. No, the stuff I coveted tasted more like cheap perfume.
My standards were a little lower back then.
