Praise the heavens, some good soul put the packages by the front door while I was out back brushing a hairy dog. Turns out the HSN items were both in one box; they were the leather Patricia Nash guitar strap which is gorgeous and the TS suede shoes which are much prettier in person.

Then there's the D&C lamb jacket (sold out) a SG big shirt and the VPH mirrored turn table thingy.

I just wish I knew who brought this over so I could thank them.  When you really look forward to getting something, it's a real let down when it doesn't happen due to incompetence.

OMG ... did you get the P. Nash suede mules???

@makena  Sad to say, I did not.  I got the suede mules with the embroidery that were the TS before Patricia Nash.  They are very pretty.... and comfortable.

Oh I wanted those so bad, along with that TSV in the black tooled.  Alas I kept my course steady and did not order.  Now I regret it.  Ain't that the way.

I am glad things worked out for you and hope you recover quickly from the stress of it all.  Enjoy your purchases.

I'm so glad you finally got your packages Kachina!

You are absolutely right. If one gets a mis-delivered package from UPS there is no one to call to have it picked up. I had a pile of large boxes of furniture left in front of my front door by UPS. It was supposed to go to an address down the street. I called the residents of that address. They were out of town. I called UPS. No answer. I called the company that shipped the furniture. They said it was not their problem and to call UPS. After about five calls to UPS I finally got a human who said they would pick the furniture up eventually. Eventually. The furniture sat in front of my front door for days. In the rain.

But the funny thing is, just a few years later the very same thing happened to me with FedX. For several days in a row I was getting shipments of large boxes of furniture for an address down the street left in front of my front door. Boxes so big I could not move them. Fortunately the resident was home and he came every day to haul his furniture home. But no matter how many times I and the other resident called FedX to alert them to the problem and to advise on future shipments, their driver still kept leaving furniture in front of my front door without checking the addresses on the boxes.

I was so happy to see that UPS would deliver rather than wait for the post office rigamarole.  Wrong assumption.

@Kachina624 I have a local UPS hub 5 miles from where I live, but if I ever have problems after their business hours, I just call UPS Customer Service at 1 (800) 742-5877.  They have always been helpful the few times I had any issues, and are open pretty late.

Hope that helps!

Oops glad to read you got them.  I swear I almost like the post office better than UPS these days.

I'm absolutely beside myself I'm so disgusted.  I've waited 10 days for a couple of orders, a little less for another, while UPS diddled around with them.  They got to town finally and I get a message in tracking that UPS will deliver rather than the post office since they'll be in the area (they're in the area daily).

So I'm waiting, waiting, check tracking and see that all three were delivered at 1:56pm, only they weren't.  Nothing outside anywhere, no dogs barking at a truck.  Spend 30 minutes trying to find a phone number for the local UPS terminal.  There isn't one.  No way to contact anyone.

I talk to a nice young man at QVC CS and we decide to wait and see if a good Samaritan shows up with them.  One item is sold out.

Then to add insult to injury, I remember I've got two items coming from HSN, check their tracking and guess what else was delivered at 1:56pm.  So that 5 packages misdelivered by a moron at UPS.  Oh...and the HSN items are both sold out.

I'm so upset I have a tension headache.  I don't know what's going to come of the shipping fiasco in the country but it seems impossible to get a package from point A to B in a reasonable time with accuracy.  The infrastructure just can't handle the surge brought on by internet sales.  Christmas is going to be a nightmare.

@Kachina624  This happened to me earlier this year, UPS saying four packages were delivered, when only one was.  I heard the truck so went to the top of the driveway just as it was leaving,  went down and only one package was there.

I filed a complaint, and one replacement arrived a few weeks later, no note, so I assumed UPS had it sent from the company.  Q was kind enough to refund, zulily also, so I was able to buy the item again at zulily, but the Q item was sold out.

Now, because UPS messed up, again, I have to sign for everything, which is probably just as well but is a pain.

Today, I waited all day, and UPS showed up at 7:40pm.  I signed up for My Choice so I wouldn't have to spend days waiting for delivery of packages, packages supposed to be taken there, but that isn't happening, so it is pretty useless.

A month ago, one of the regular drivers told me he saw some packages of mine being returned to sender.  I was furious as there was never a notice that anyone had been here to deliver.  I had to call both companies, and since I was a regular customer, they resent the items, and I hope they filed a claim with UPS.  I could write a book about both USPS and UPS.

A few days ago, a package was logged as having been delivered via USPS, but it was not, so either it was misdelivered or outright stolen by the post office, not the first time, so I am out of that money, but fortunately it was a small amount, still very maddening.

@mousiegirl  Sounds like you could write a book on dealing with the trials and tribulations of delivery services.  I kind of think my driver today falsified the delivery time and it was he who put those packages outside my door around 6:45pm.  Too bad I didn't catch him in the act... it would have been ugly.

That's what I was thinking, that it was the driver, not a neighbor.

The practice of bulk scanning packages as delivered when they're in the truck or even just being picked up and before they've begun deliveries is something that happens with USPS, too. They're all under time pressure, but those scans are supposed to be on delivery, not on "it got on the truck." I complained to my PO when my old carrier did it and it didn't happen again.

Glad it all worked out.

@Kachina624

Your packages were probably left by your UPS driver delivering late.  That happened to me the other day.  I got the same message about UPS delivering because they were in the area.  I did get my packages that day, but it was late in the evening - much past the driver's work day.  He surely had a long day.  UPS should have left the postman deliver my packages as that was the original shipping plan - UPS to USPS.  That has always worked out well for me.  I think the poor UPS guy was swamped with deliveries because of the change.

Oh well, I got my packages the day shown on the tracking, just feel bad for the poor UPS guy - I could have waited til the next day, but they are not allowed to leave packages undelivered.

@KathyM23  I just wonder if UPS is catching flack from their customers about slow deliveries and the "were going to be in the area" is an effort to knock a couple days off of shipping time.  They were 2 days over the EDD on 2 of my items.

A few months ago, I was awaiting arrival of a package from QVC & the tracking info said it had been delievered & UPS delivered something to my front door. Since I was expecting something, I didn't pay attention to the box & brought it in & opened it up.  The box was full of party supplies & cheap kid's toys & then, i noticed that it was from Amazon, not QVC,  & addressed to someone with the same street number as mine, but the street was totally wrong.

I called UPS's customer service & she tried to get in touch with the driver to get him to come back for it & maybe, remember where he'd left my package, but by that time, he was back at the UPS yard & had gone home for the day.  The CS person said she'd have a driver pick the package back up the next day, so I taped the package back up, left it by my front door the next day.

I called QVC & told the CS person what had happened & she placed a 2nd order & had it sent by next day delivery & I got it quickly.

The UPS driver picked up the package that was delivered to me in error & I guess delivered it to the correct address.  Not sure if that person got my package or someone else & I never got the original package, so not sure what happened to it or if the person who got it delivered to them in error just kept it.  QVC was easy to deal with, UPS's CS, not so much, as it took several calls to get it straightened out!
