De-cluttering drawers/shelves in the dining & living rooms of things and tossing out that have been accumulated over the years.

@SillieMe
It seems most insurance companies will automatically drop you (your policy) after 3 claims. It doesn’t matter how long you have had the insurance company. You might know this. But many people don’t realize. Good luck on your hail damage. Just make sure it didn’t damage your roof shingles enough to cause a small seeping leak.

I am putting off everything because I’m here😅!!
I am at a stage now that I literally do one project a day, besides all the normal daily tasks. That seems to work and I end up getting more than 1 project done this way.
I like that this feed was PUTTING OFF DOING…it is more eye opening and motivating than the PROCRASTINATING word!

Sometimes lists work. But I’m more prone to spend time writing a list-put WAY to much on the list-start doing the list-and get overwhelmed seeing all the things that need doing-and then feel like I didn’t do enough at the end of the day. I have physical limitations, so I have learned to forget the lists and take one day at a time. DOING ONE THING A DAY (project) makes the day feel accomplished! And in a month that is 30 projects!

I have my “inside” and “outside” projects and chores. So when it’s bad weather I know to do something inside and then outside when good weather. And the days I over do it, the next day/s have to be easy projects.
This is a lot better than just NOT doing anything and all those NOT DOING adds up…which makes everything literally worse!

I like to declutter and organize my stuff because I get to see all my things. And if I no longer enJOY something I donate it. And, I have discovered that if I FORGOT I HAVE something (as I go through stuff) or have NOT USED something for a few years-DONATE!

I shop thrift, always have, (if I became a multimillionaire I would still thrift shop) and I find that the things I have paid full price (new) I KEEP IT LONGER even though I don’t need it anymore and it doesn’t bring me Joy! So thrifting is good, because it’s easier to declutter later!

Thank you to everyone who donates their wonderful possessions, because without y’all there would be no good thrift stores! (Only the ones from the 1980’s..Yuck!!)💖
So quit reading y’all and let’s go get those PROJECTS completed!!🥳

Making my daughter's bridal bouqet.
It's all in the bag, I just gave to put it together. And box it.

Re: Putting Off

[ Edited ]

I have been putting off going through the rest of my things I probably need to donate in my dining room. I have been donating boxes of clothes and other stuff all summer...I have found filling up just a few  boxes or bags at a time works better than trying to fill up a lot of them on one day. I learned that donating is less time-consuming than trying to sell.  I did find out that the workers at some of the stores steal the good stuff when it comes in,  so the best never makes it to the racks. I try not to thrift shop anymore. I can't justify donating stuff at the back door and bringing more home through the front door!
