@goldensrbest

I will be interested in answers as I have not been able to figure out how to clean that area either.

I've seen a video in the past, but I've never done it.  Basically it was to  turn the whole thing upside down so it's easier to get to. Spray with Dawn Power Wash (or make your own Dawn, baking soda, vinegar concoction). Let it sit for a while and wipe off. Can use a toothbrush to scrub.

The demonstration I watched was for my exact air fryer.

Since this is an area with parts that should not get wet, I don't worry about it.

Buy a new air fryer.

Rinse, repeat.

I don’t spray anything on the fan. I spray it on a cloth, wipe down the fat, and then go over it with a clean damp cloth.

Read the user manual that came w/the air fryer

@Mz iMac

User manual had no cleaning instructions for fan and element area. But thanks for assuming we didn't look there first.

That's kind of what I was trying to avoid...that and an oil fire. I think my next air fryer (because ofc, there will be another one) needs to be one that looks more like a toaster/convection oven and check to see how to clean it PRIOR to buying.
